Local Progressive Talk in the South Sound area of WA State

| | | | | | | |

If you live in Seattle you may be able to get this station, if you can not then you can listen live online or even listen to the archived shows. Tacoma and Lakewood areas have great coverage (including McChord AFB and Fort Lewis).

This is not a big station. They have a mix of progressive, liberal, left, buisness, and even con shows.

It would help out a lot if many of you who live in this area or even those of you who do not would listen and promote the show I have linked below and this station so that we can make it grow and hopefully add more local progressive shows.

I am cross posting this for a fellow blogger, jenyum at DailyKos, who is also a great Tacoma activist.

White House Farmer - Organic Gardening at the White House - UPDATE x3

| | | | | | |

How many of you have heard of the Eat The View website?

Well it is a website dedicated growing the awareness and acceptance of Organic Gardening and Farming by asking... well pushing.. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama to turn part of the White House lawn into an Organic Garden.

From the Eat The View website:

In Memory of "Toot" - Barack Obama's Grandmother.

I will let the images say the rest.

If I could figure out how to embed a YouTube video on a CCN diary, that would be here:

Thank You Ladies!

and Gentlemen.

I am so happy that people, politicians and the media are finally starting to call out lies for what they are ... LIES!

It seems like the ladies on the view have also had it with the LIES of the republicans and mccain/palin.

Go Figure, The Ladies at "The View" do the job of journalists w/ video

John McCain was on The View today and it was an awful roasting. He was pinned up and down the couch.

The Surge Is Working

| | | | | | | |

Let's just stop for a moment and parrot what mccain, palin and the repubs say - "the surge is working" (actually it should be called the escalation).

Now why don't the Democrats and Obama/Biden try responding with something like this...

"Ok, let's say that the surge or escalation is working.

Is the surge working because al-sadr decided he wanted to be an ayotollah, told his army to stand down and took off to Iran for training and schooling?

Is the surge working because we are paying off militant groups to stand down?

From Hillary Clinton

| | | | | |

The following is Hillary Clinton's intial statement regarding the conventions and mccain/plain.

"The two party conventions showcased vastly different directions for our country. Senator Obama and Senator Biden offered the new ideas and positive change America needs and deserves after eight years of failed Republican leadership. Senator McCain and Governor Palin do not," Clinton said.

Thank You Repubs and Sarah Palin!
