Why I'm Supporting Hillary Clinton

(Cross posted from http://blog.clarkcan.com )

Some have said that when Wes endorsed Hillary, it caused them to take a second look at her. I wouldn't put it exactly the same way, but the fact that Wes isn't running and that he's endorsed Hillary has caused me to take a second look at how I evaluate who I'm supporting.

Blogging from YKos

Wes is actually here. He got into the hall about 20 minutes ago and greeted a few people then disappeared behind the curtain. There are clarkies everywhere at two of the front-center tables.

America in the World: FHA

First off, there's not that much to say because there's SO MUCH to say, which is why I haven't written anything up til now, but a little birdie from Ohio told me people were upset. So I'll write something, but only if you all promise to go watch the thing as its pieces are posted here.

I already discovered a leader…

I'm not looking for a candidate. Sometime in 2003--don't remember exactly when--I discovered General Clark. At first, I thought he was just a candidate I might support. I hadn't seriously supported a candidate since Walter Mondale's landslide defeat broke my 16-year-old heart in 1984. I grew to know General Clark and I became a part of the community he'd created. He dropped out on February 11, 2004, during a 24-hour-period I'll never forget; I'll never forget drowning my sorrows in Crunchy Cheetos and Sam Adams.

About last night...

Got lost on the way to Metropark--never gone there directly from work before. Had to call hubby on the cell to get new directions, which sucked cause he's home with 101 fever.

stopIranWar.com Buttons

As of this morning, we've (mostly Ice) mailed 2562 Buttons with another 1119 buttons on order. I think Ice has actually mailed more than she's checked off, so odds are it's more like 3000+ sent and 600+ on order, but we'll wait til she checks the button before we report it that way!

This crap could motivate me

Dear Friends,

This race just keeps getting closer. The New York Times just had a front page article about all of the close races in the Northeast, and because of all of your hard work we were one of the races they spotlighted as hard for the Republicans to win. Click here to read the entire article.

As many of you know I started airing my first TV and

Cats...

I've been spending most of my time working with a TNR (trap-neuter-return) organization. We do some cat rescue, but mostly we trap feral cats, neuter them, and return them to where they came from. This is becoming accepted as the best way to control the feral cat population. There's food out there, and where there's food, feral cats will move in. You can't get "rid" of them.

So... 15 months ago, I was trying to stop a war with Iran, World War III. Now I'm shaving cats for neutering. Seems a lot less important, like a big step down.

There ain't no easy way out

I keep coming back to that; to me, it's the most memorable line in what would have been Wes's campaign song, I Won't Back Down. People wanted Obama because he was an easy way out. We don't need to get people to think. We don't need to do the hard work. We just get some guy with a mesmerizing speech and we're all set!
