Wesley Clark to visit Denver on Saturday

Former Democratic presidential candidate and retired Gen. Wesley Clark will be in Denver on Saturday for a state Democratic Party fundraiser, state Democratic Party Chair Pat Waak said Monday.

The $20-a-person-minimum fundraiser will be held at the G.I. Forum, 1717 Federal Blvd. in Denver, from 6-8 p.m., according to an email.

Since madspawn’s wonderful blog has got me thinking about September of ‘03 for the past week and the anniversary of Wes' answering the draft is coming up, I thought I'd write about how it was for me back then.

General Wesley Clark’s dig at John McCain’s military experience is a fair criticism. This is a presidential campaign, where all matters of a candidate’s past are fair game, and the transfer or acquisition of power is predictably revealing and unpleasant. And in this case, when one considers the source, Clark is certainly credible to speak on the matter.
