Another "Best Shot"...

I'll start with this: I used to be here at CCN regularly from 2003 to 2007. When my hero announced his support for Hillary Clinton, I was shocked because it meant that he would not be running for president, but also Hillary was the least of my favorite candidates. I stopped coming here, mostly because there was going to be a whole lot of Hillary talk, that I didn't want to participate in. In fact, I just stopped going to any blog, including the Obama friendly DailyKos.

In 2003, when I discovered General Clark there was key things that attracted me to him.

Election not over yet... well at least in FL-13

I don't know how many of you are aware of this below: Leave no congressional district behind! It looks like this FL-13 should have gone to Christine Jennings, with 17,000 votes not counted in a county where Jennings won 53% to 47%. If you do the math, instead of losing by 300+ votes, she would have won by a few thousand. Let hope they get this right and have a new election for Sarasota County.

Jennings challenges 369-vote loss in congressional race

ASSOCIATED PRESS TALLAHASSEE -- State officials Monday certified Republican Vern Buchanan won the House seat being vacated by Republican Rep. Katherine Harris, though the loser immediately sued for a new election, arguing that touch-screen voting machines had malfunctioned. Democrat Christine Jennings filed suit in Circuit Court here, asking that a judge order a new election in the 13th District, where the Florida Canvassing Commission said the candidate lost by just 369 votes.

E85 LOOPHOLE Another Perfect Example of Whom this Administration is Working For

I'm sure a few of you (maybe all) have read this. It's just another perfect example how this administration is working for the corporations and not the people. According to this, E85 is actually does more harm that good.

According to a gentleman who works at Toyota [he came up to me because he saw the Clark sticker on my car =)] the Prius shipped straight from Japan, before any modifications are done so it may be registered here in CA, can get up to 90 mpg. Why do our restriction take it back down to 55-60mpg? Well that's a pretty obvious answer. [I wish I would have asked that gentleman for more information about the Prius. I was just too suprised and shocked when he told me this, that I didn't even have the state of mind to follow up on asking him more questions about that. For now you'll just have to take this for what it is. Sorry about that =)]

Wes on Real Time - An inside Perspective

(one of the Producers a few minutes before the show started) "...we have some great guests tonight including a former and hopefully future presidential candidate General Wesley Clark..."

I had goosebumps when he said that.

On Friday I went to the live taping of Real Time with Bill Maher.  I arrived a little late and had to wait about half an hour outside the studio before they seated the audience.  I even saw one of the guys that sent some messages to Wes on myspace, I didn't approach him though.

I was seated in the back row and was just full of anticipation, I couldn't wait to see Wes.  About fifteen minutes before the top of the hour, they showed a 3-4 minute highlight real of past Bill Maher shows, and Wes was in a good bit of it, he definitely is a veteran of the show.

Got Tix to Real Time with Bill Maher

I got tickets to this week's Real Time with Bill Maher and of course who's one of this week's guest:  Gen. Wesley Clark!!!

Kind of excited!

(Well, when I first posted this I thought Wes was going to be on the panel.  The drop down monitor is cool, but not nearly as exciting)

(Okay so Wes WILL BE IN STUDIO)

Which candidate is right for you?

Check this link out.

It asks a series of quetions and then tells you which candidates you would more than likely like or agree with for '08.  I tried very hard to answer the questions how I truly would answer them and not to influence the outcome that would have Wes as the number 1, but here are my reslults:

WesPac on myspace.com

Make sure you sign up! From the diaries -- Larry

Hey All,

I just wanted to let you know that the folks at WesPac are harnessing
the power of myspace by creating an 'official' group. For those who
aren't familiar with myspace, it is a web-site popular with the younger
crowd (seems like the older crowd too) where people can share pictures,
talk to friends, make friends, create blogs, and groups. In the groups
people discuss topics that they are all interested in, and in this case
it is supporting WesPac and the goals that General Clark has set. You
can visit the page by visiting  http://groups.myspace.com/securingamerica. This will be key for our  grassroots & 2006 elections, so please help us get it started by  posting about candidates in your area that interest you.
