I had a silly dream last night...

noelschutz's picture

I dreamed a black guy got elected President of the United States. If that is not impossible enough, in the dream hundreds of thousands of people were at the acceptance speech transported to tears or with smiles of joy.

Why even Jesse Jackson was there shedding tears. And on TV Condi Rice had a press conference in which she could hardly hide her joy. Imagine, the Whitehose wifie praising a democrat. Just plain silly. And there was General Colin Power, a Republican as well, nearly in tears himself.

OBAMA vs. CLINTON....AGAIN....It's possible — likely, even — that everyone is tired of conversations about whether Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton would be more effective if they win the presidency. That's doubly true since it's essentially unknowable at this point. But without really taking sides on this, I want to tease out one more thing on this subject, since I think it's a key question for liberal voters this year.

So who would be more effective at moving a progressive agenda forward once they got elected? There are two basic things to think about:

Clark, Webb and Sestak, Commanders of the Fighting Dems

noelschutz's picture

Wes Clark as presidential candidate is the natural leader of the Fighting Dem vets. Jim Webb in the Senate and Sestak in Congress are the on site leaders in the halls of Congress. We know Wes well, and Sestak's leading role in the House has been a recent subject of discussion.

Let's look at a recent article on Senator Webb who will, after all, be in the Senate for three House election cycles ahead. Webb and Sestak are generally also on the same page as Wes regarding Iraq.

Some amazing views here and that is why I posted it. The MSM is clueless about what is ne3eded in a president in its backing of those who have some sort of mass appeal. God help us.

Like a one-day trip to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba will fill out foreign policy experience - check.

And the statement that unlike some of his better-known rivals he lacks foreign policy credentials.

Who? Only Biden, who often sounds like a Wes Clark echo, has any. Hillary - None. Edwards - None. Obama - None.

By: Mike Allen
