who here thinks it's very doubtful we'll survive til Nov if Bush isn't replaced, let alone '08?

I know I'm not the only one.

"We're all fucked. It helps to remember that." --George Carlin

....God forbid you people recognize that my story could be the crowbar needed to open up the door to real freedom and democracy and debate and accountability. (Crossing your fingers and holding your breath is not a strategy.) (If I'm pompous it's because I'm scared sh*tless and desperate for people to listen.)

IF YOU FORCE FOLKS LIKE JON STEWART AND AIR AMERICA TO TOUT THIS THING AS THE ANSWER TO ALL OUR PRAYERS, THEN THAT KIND OF ATTENTION WILL ENABLE IT TO BE HEARD. After all, as I quote Fran Lebowitz saying: "These people don't care about facts. We're living in a post-factual world." In other words, if we could wave a magic wand and suddenly have all Bush supporters become cognizant of all the facts, that would be the ballgame. Sure, blow me off as crazy and pushy, everyone--but I dare anyone to show me a better solution out there.

why can't a lawsuit be brought to the Supreme Court to address the stolent election(s)?

or at least a suit against Diebold. Seriously, we knew they would steal it in 04 and we did nothing to prevent it; we had the proof the did after the fact and it makes no difference; a year later we're still cruising for a bruising. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE???

Can we organize an unofficial debate between reps of Clark and other running Dems?

if we had done that in the first place, we'd probably not be in this mess.

did anyone else hear that Repubs voted for Kerry in Dem primaries to pre-empt a Clark win?

I read that once a while back on some conservative site. I'm particularly curious to know if Iowa is a state that Repubs can vote in Dem primaries, since that was obviously the clincher for Kerry. I was reading The New Pearl Harbor and learned that that's exactly how and why Cynthia McKinney got beat in Georgia (after saying that Bush was complict about 9/11).

Sydney Blumenthal said on Monday: "We could suggest many new ideas, but they would fall on deaf ears.”

Which we all know already. And it's just so frightening. I mean, frankly, I don't think it would have made one bit of difference in the world if that event didn't even take place. (Other than the fact that I wouldn't have sporadically wept while Wes spoke.) I'm not trying to be cynical, I'm just trying to point out that Bush is just going to run roughshod over us all and detroy the future no matter what. And the fact that it's no secret he wasn't even elected TWICE and all the other transparent high crimes is proof I'm right. In other words, our only hope is to somehow get Bush supporters to confront reality. Any other discussions, IMO, are just excercises in futility. (And, finally, how can any anti-Bush people still not get on board with us once they see his speech? Is that really possible?)

Ever try talking to Demunderground folks about Wes?

They're as bad of listeners as Republicans. Unless and until we can get them to grow up and at least ENGAGE in an honest debate, they'll bring us all down with them again. These are the same people who forgive Kerry and the bunch for authorizing the war (and saying they'd do it again). The same people who think it doesn't matter that Dean and Kucinich's style and lack of being photogenic is not relevent and won't cause the Right to have seizures.

"But Clark has never been a legislator! He wouldn't know what to do!!" "I'm not voting for a general!!!"    "He used to be a Republican!"  "WAAAAAAHHHH."

Clark's VP should be Pastor Wallis---there'd be no stopping them. (Jim Hightower as Press Sec.)

Wallis is the author of God's Politics. He's highly critical of Bush on the environment, poverty, and Iraq. He's also VERY prominent and has political experience (not actual legislative experiennce).

UPGRADE NOW

What do I tell peacenics who say Clark's responsible for using depleted uranium in Kosovo?

if it was used, and he was in charge, seems like a valid gripe.

Relieved to hear that there's no legitimate criticism out there, but sad to find that it's blasphemous to even ask the question.

It's especially pitiful since one responder on here to my inquiry said, "We've got it covered." If that were the case then we wouldn't be having this discussion because he'd be in the WH right now!!! aargh.

and for what's it's worth, last time I asked this question on here, it ended up providing me with the awesome quote from Gen. McCafferty that's Wes is a national treasure.

Joe Scarborough on Cspan, indirectly, made a very strong case for Wes

not only did he trash Repubs for their dangerous deficits, but he told a questioner that the only reason he's still a Republican is because the Dems are the alternative. He went on to say that this country really needs genuine leadership and Dems really need to find a leader. "This country looks for leadership before it looks for an idealogue."

If Jesus were alive today,

The Democrats he would scorn,

For keeping out Wes Clark:

"Was it yesterday these fools were born?!"
