Sestak hits back

I really like this ad by Admiral Sestak, hitting back at Curt Weldon for attacking the Admiral's service.

Clark beats Huckabee in potential matchup
Submitted by larry on August 25, 2006 - 4:47pm.
2008 | Hillary Clinton | Mike Huckabee | Wes Clark | Democratic politics
Very good poll out today from Arkansas News by Opinion Research. In Arkansas a potential matchup between Wes Clark and Mike Huckabee has General Clark up 51%-37%. Huckabee is a top-tier candidate for the Republicans and this poll shows General Clark can turn Arkansas blue against the AR governor. This is very powerful as far as the appeal for a Clark candidacy, as Huckabee has really been turning heads nationally lately.
Also, Hillary was polled and she gets 49%-36% over Huckabee. Very nice to see General Clark outpolling Hillary, as well. More from the poll:

2006 Elections | Nick Lampson | Tom DeLay
I know everyone is focused on the CT race. I am too. But no matter what happens tonight, remember today was a good day because Tom DeLay is dropping out. I kept telling folks this might happen and sure enough, DeLay doesn't want to face the voters. He'd prefer saving all that money for his legal defense fund. As all of us know, he's gonna need it. Go Nick Lampson.

Huge news. Just saw on TV. Will get news links when they appear. 5th Circuit just said Tom DeLay must stay on the ballot in TX-22. This race is back to being HUGE. You can give to Nick via WesPAC's ActBlue page: http://actblue.com/page/wespac
The Green Party's green

2006 Elections | Bob Casey | Green Party | Santorum
TPM Muckraker has the dirt:
As reported today by the AP and the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Green Party managed to get their candidate Carl Romanelli on the ballot with a costly petition drive, which was mostly funded by contributors who had also given to Rick Santorum's campaign. The party raised $66,000 for the effort, all of which they spent on a private company to collect signatures. TPMmuckraker was able to establish that at least $55,000 of that came from conservatives.
Virginia Davis, Santorum's spokeswoman, told the Inquirer that their office had encouraged the contributions. Why? Because a challenge from the left is seen as a liability for the Dem candidate, Bob Casey.
2008 Presidential Selector

Candidates 2008
OK, let's have a little fun. Most, if not all here, say they support Wes Clark in 2008. But let's have some fun with this. I just found this Presidential Candidates Selector tool. It tells you which matches your preferences best. I had no idea what this thing would spit out for me, given my answers to the questions. I'm proud to say Wes Clark was 1st for me, then Feingold. No surprises there. Have a go at it and post your results in this thread. No gaming. Answer the questions honestly, not what you think will get you Wes Clark as #1!

2006 Candidates | 2006 Elections | ClarkCast | podcast | Call to Action
[Update] I need more people. Please post on other blogs and message boards. We need many more folks to call in. -- Larry
Hi everyone. Common Voices is back. This month's theme will be the 2006 elections. As you know, the November election is THE focus for General Clark and WesPAC. Next week's ClarkCast will feature Wes Clark discussing the elections. The following week we will be releasing Common Voices: 2006 Elections.
That's where I need your help. We want to hear your thoughts on the 2006 elections. Why you think they're important. What issue you care most about (e.g., Iraq, healthcare, wiretapping, economny, etc.) and why you care about that issue. Finally, it's your chance to talk about your favorite race/candidate. Tell us why you support your favorite candidate and how you're helping that candidate win in November.
Tom DeLay still on the ballot
Submitted by larry on July 6, 2006 - 12:42pm.
About 30 minutes ago, I got a call from Nick Lampson's campaign manager telling me that the judge in Texas ruled that Tom DeLay's shenanigans to get off the ballot in TX-22 did not work. It's DeLay or bust for Republicans on the ballot.
Don't forget Wes Clark's ClarkCast with Nick Lampson and if you want to have a little fun, play this flash game I helped create for Nick Lampson's campaign: http://www.delaysdollars.com
Listen to Wes Clark fight for Dems on Hannity
Submitted by larry on June 22, 2006 - 8:57pm.
Democrats | Hannity | Iraq | Wes Clark | Iraq
While on the road, General Clark was listening to the radio and caught Newt Gingrich attacking Democrats on Iraq while on Hannity's radio show (Hannity is on vacation so it is some stand-in guy doing the show). Standard wingnut name calling. Bringing up Vietnam and Jane Fonda. Calling people unpatriotic. Well, Wes Clark wasn't gonna put up with that. General Clark called into the show himself, and went to the defense of Dems. We were able to record the audio. Listen here

ClarkCast | Darfur
This week's ClarkCast focuses on the genocide in the Darfur region of the Sudan.
As many of you know, General Clark helped stop the ethnic cleansing in Kosovo.
His thoughts on Darfur should hold tremendous credibility for everyone.
Visit http://securingamerica.com/darfur to write the President and your Members of Congress.
Urge them to take action in Darfur! If you have iTunes 4.9 installed, you can subscribe to the ClarkCast via the iTunes Music Store. Click here for a iTunes shortcut to the ClarkCast.
