Concerns have been expressed today about General Clark's Wiki page. A blog went up at Daily Kos titled: "Today's Wikipedia Featured Article" (this was General Clark):

I've been watching
Tavis Smiley’s - “State of Black America”
which has been on C-Span all day today, both prior to, and after Obama’s speech. I was struck before Obama's speech, and have always been impressed with the enormous number of great orators the Black community have. They speak without written speeches, just off the cuff, and Obama pales in comparison to the majority of them.
I'm not dissing Obama, just rather bemused at the fuss over him.

America is indeed at war. The attacks in New York and Washington have raised the dangers posed by international terrorism to a new level. But despite the awful familiarity of the devastation in New York and Washington, an effective U.S. response is likely to be something new and unfamiliar.

(It seems, as usual, that Bush and Cheney don't care what anyone in the world says, or what they think about these warmongers, they are determined to start another war.)

Washington think tanks are pushing for the toppling of another regime
For me the alarm bells began to ring in the unlikely surroundings of the ancient Trout Inn near Oxford. A senior Republican party foreign affairs insider, as hawkish as they come and a staunch backer of the Iraq war, made a bitter complaint about the incompetence of George W Bush’s international policy. If my Republican friend is so critical, I thought, the US president must be in real trouble.

"Bush Authorized Libby NIE Release to Press
By Christy Hardin Smith
The latest filing in the Libby case is a doozy, according to the NYSun this morning. If Libby was being truthful in his testimony about this, and if Cheney wasn’t misleading him in his assertion that President Bush authorized Libby to leak selected portions of the NIE to the press (specifically Judy Miller), then I think we’ve discovered a very good reason for Fitz to have met with the President’s attorney just prior to Libby’s indictment.
But that’s the least of the revelation’s implications:

"Poor attack puppy Ken Mehlman. Come November, his party may lose control of the House, and if things go really, really well, they might lose the Senate too (a girl can dream, can't she?) A recent RNC memo details how Republicans think they can retain their majority status: by clinging to Bush and the "W" brand. The memo, written by pollster Jan van Lohuizen for RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman, demonstrates the internal debate about whether to embrace Bush or avoid him. There's a lot of good stuff in there, but I'd like to focus on aspect of the memo:
