Video - Wes with Charlie Rose - September 23, 2002

Here's another gem.  Pay attention to the beginning as Charlie reinforces his stance on going to war with Iraq.  I believe this was aired the same day Wes spoke before HASC.

I would also love a transcript of this one.

now off to work........

WKC got it right from the beginning.
The General gets it right.
Competence--What a concept!

This one really tells the tale of Wes' position right prior to the IWR vote. He was definitely for the Levin Amemdment to go the the UN and come back to congress for a vote.

This is even better than his congressional testimony because it's one long take of him speaking only.

If anyone could do a transcript of this, it could be very useful! Of course, "Only, only as a last resort" is also said here......indicating it was always his line....even before he was thinking of running!

Everyone should see this one!

Thanks Ice! This may prove to be as valuable as you thought when you put this one in the can for an undisclosed future purpose!

I like you, though I have to admit I don't frequent your blog as much as I would like. I really don't like blogs, which is ironic because I have one. I honestly hate blogs, but yours looks cool so all the power to you.

Is anyone going to upload these videos to you tube? I can do it if no one else is and Ice has no problem with it. I think they should be on there....

trasncript of this video- It's beneath the video

I did upload it into youtube (I hope I don't get kicked out of there) but it's taking forever to show up. If it doesn't show up within 30 minutes, I give up.

I know YouTube says the time limit is 10 minutes but I notice there are much longer videos posted there. Like this one I recorded in October is over 35 minutes. http://youtube.com/watch?v=XqvZ_a-zuvk

I don't understand the time limit there.

I'm uploading all the transcripts to the site in hopes of enhancing the search feature I added. I'm trying to build a repository of everything, so we can search by key words and find the video/speeches/articles/positions, etc that contain the bits we need to refute, etc.

That is so what we need!!! ^^^

I'm always googling phrases and such (my "favorites" is just too jumbled and confusing) in my attempts to debunk oft-posted lies. This will be a treasure beyond belief!!!

I really enjoyed both of these interviews, Ice. Thanks so much. I saved both to my hard drive, and will later put them on my laptop. My laptop may become my tabling vehicle of choice, and I may have to invest in a digital projector and portable screen to show these to house parties and groups..
