mediawiki | wiki | wikipedia | Call to Action | none
Many of us are stressing about a potential run, an announcement or exploratory. So, what better time to start a project we can all help with and keep our minds busy?
With the help of our Westcott, I’ve put up a mediawiki for Wes on my site. It may eventually be moved to a site of it’s own, but that will come later. Right now we need your help. We need the information plugged into the wiki and that’s where you come in. We’ve outlined a structure, which of course can and will be molded as we move along, but it’s a place to start.
We are not allowing anons to be contributors. You must be registered through me to become a contributor. All material MUST be sourced. We don’t want opinion pieces.
If you’d like to help us in this effort, find you have some time on yours hands and want to help with building a databank of resources we can all use in the future, please join us.
We’re planning on allowing contributions to begin tomorrow. Since everyone has to be registered and I have to setup your account, I thought I’d get a jump on getting that done today. If you’re interested, send me an email telling me what you want your username to be and late tonight or early tomorrow, you’ll receive an email containing your password (which you can change after logging in) and the link to the webpage.
Are you game? We can do this, we must do this…..anyone know where that comes from?

UPDATE - Feb 4, 6:55 am: As of this morning, we have 23 Clarkies signed up. We would love to have you too!
All of us have something to contribute, be it your vast archive of articles, speeches, op-eds, etc, or just your proofreading skill.
If we hope to have the necessary information to refute, promote and elect the President we were promised as kids, we have to be ready.
You’ve all been itching for something to do and building a resource that can be used by us all to help educate the public about Wes will streamline those efforts.
Please join us in creating a General Wesley Clark encyclopedia.
Thanks so much for doing this. Thanks westcott and areucrazy for the idea!
What a resourceful lot we Clarkies are!
Do it yourself-ers. : )

And Clarkies are nothing if not inventive. Just look at what they've already contributed to the success of this site!
And as long as I'm on the topic of D.I.Y. it brings to mind another phrase:"Measure twice; cut once." Something that may apply to everything in life, one way or another. ;)
Thanks to Ice & WesTcott & areucrazy for spearheading this effort.
just who is the Father of Invention?
Or was it an immaculate conception?
I think it may have been Ingenuity. Who then married Necessity and produced Invention.
He never gets any credit... ;P
but this was in motion well before me; Ice and WesTcott are the ones we need to thank.
BTW, this is awesome, my email is on the way.
this is a great idea and it will be a great resource for the 2008 Clark campaign.
Lets get him in office!
email on it's way.
So much talent, so many smart people...Clarkies are just too, too...well whatever. LOL

Clarkies ROCK!!
email's a comin'!
Once in a while you get shown the light, In the strangest of places if you look at it right. - Hunter/Garcia
I'm really looking forward to seeing how this develops. Thanks, all!
The General gets it right.
Competence--What a concept!

He wanted Wes factoids. This is quite an undertaking Ice and Westcott. Sybil has plenty of gems she no doubt can contribute as could shortie.
Did I mention that you and westcott are absolutly amazing. Its better than I ever imagined!
I'm gonna study up on the wiki how to ASAP.

Remember the picture of Gen. Clark teaching Lara's Ramzey to salute? That was the cutest thing.
"Some of them put on their cowboy boots and put their feet up on the desk." -Wes Clark

with Wes at a Kerry event....They had brought him brownies they'd made with Wes' Aunt Rosalie's recipe and pictures they'd drawn. You can see him holding them. He asked little Lilia to have a brownie with him.
I have a couple of really nice pictures from that event that the Kerry photographer took and sent to my sister.
The kids absolutely adore him. And they know his "force only, only, only as a last resort" mantra well. We use it every time they start fighting. :)
There's a top diary over at DKos - most of today - about Wes and base governance. Lot's of domestic practice issues. I wanted to add more examples and didn't know where to look. Your Wescott will be so handy. I'll contribute what I can.

Can't wait to see the page, and I'm sure you will have many contributors. My thanks to you and Westcott for your efforts.
Edit: I should add, thanks to areucrazy for suggesting this as a wiki.
