Tom Rinaldo wrote (The Netroots' Greatest Challenge):
"A call to action has been sounded. The real
struggle to stop a war with Iran is upon us, and
we, the netroots have a critical role to play...
"We are passionate, we are determined, but our
numbers are small, so what can the Netroots really
do... We can and must breakout of our introspective
net boxes and carry this challenge onto a wider
political playing field...
"...This issue has to go mainstream and it has to
go there fast. StopIranWar.com is our best vehicle
to get there.
"Undoubtedly there are many actions that all of us
can and should be doing over the coming months...
Yes we should loudly protest against it on the web,
on the air, and on the streets.
"... I intend to go to web sites that I never
visit, I intend to send emails to people who have
never heard from me..." Tom Rinaldo
The "Stop Iran War" campaign is grassroots. It is
a poor man's bare-bones attempt to prevent the
unnecessary sacrifice of blood and dwindling
teasure. This should resonate with the American
people who hears the drumbeat to war everyday.
We don't have to add anything to what Clark has
been saying. He has said all crispy clear. By
putting out his message(s), we are also putting
out his ideas and his credentials.
The same cost-effective way of talking up Clark
applies to this great effort. We need not look
beyond our immediate sphere. The local media,
including popular sports talk and other radio
programs that, from time to time, digress into
politics and the war(s), are excellent opportunities.
Copies of Clark's message(s) could turn up in
bulletin boards, convenience stores, bus stops,
rest rooms, rest stops and a thousand other places.
It will reach someone. The Power of One has no
limits.
Delusions could lead to another unjust war and
Bush, nurtured daily with neocon's pills, is not
about to snap out of it.
Wesley K. Clark... we hear loud and clear. This war
must be stopped!
