A comment about Fred Thompson that could apply to Wes Clark

On the new politics board on IMDB.com, “treebeme” made the below comment, something that sounded like music to my ears: It was an explanation about why Fred Thompson was apparently waiting so long to enter the 2008 presidential race:

“Candidates that come out of nowhere need to come in early in the race to get their name known. Candidates that are well established generally want to enter races later so they don't have to waste time, money and resources responding to attacks made by those lesser known candidates. It could only hurt him entering the race too early. The secret is to get financial backers in place so when he does finally officially go for it he can hit the ground running.”

Does Wes have some financial backers in place? A quick raise of cash would get some wicked media attention. Not trying to get ahead of myself but I can still dream, can't I? :>

I would expect a former Supreme Allied Commander, friend of Soros and Series 64 Investment banker that campaigned for upwards of 86 '06 candidates may know some "Financial backers" and sources of support.

All I try to do is keep talking him up to anyone I meet thats interested in "This stuff" so that they are started on the path of having a full picture of who he is, because his whole story is definitely not a sound bite. :)

Let's hope you're not just dreaming!

yes. I suspect those are probably the
"pre-conditions" he referenced in
the Amy Goodman interview and on Big Ed.

Gore has also said recently that IF he were to
run, that a '600 day campaign' is not required.

C'mon General Clark...let's give them something to talk about!

I think there are a lot of "me" out there.
