I don't recall
I can't remember
Do you know 9/11 official investigation cost only $14 million but Lewinsky affair cost more than $ 60 millions?

This is fantastic!! :)

He give Max Boot a boot, right in the ass.
Someone once asked me if I had learned anything from going to war so many times.
My reply:
Yes, I learned how to cry.

I won't be able to watch (if it is covered on Cspan) On appointments all day.
Max Boot... UGH!!! I hope Wes gets a chance to deal directly with him. ; )

And the Clarks' neighbor, Vic Snyder, is on this committee. Maybe he'll ask for a comment. :)

hoping for an FHA.
The General gets it right.
Competence--What a concept!
That subcommittee isn't listed on
today's schedule for c-span, c-span2 or c-span3.
Nor on c-span radio.
Of course, there could be a change.
But there rarely is on the day that the event is to take place.
to see the schedules for all 3 c-span channels, clickon "TV Schedule" on top-right of the opening page.
(And oh, how'd we'd love to see it. To see our General, but expecially to see and hear what he chooses to say on this all-important topic. )
We so need his smarts and experience and ethics.Even hearing the word "killing" or "killed" or "wounded" anymore makes me cringe, avoid, sicken.
Also, somewhere on the opening pages(I forget where right now, but it's on the left of the page), there's a clickon for c-span radio.
I'ts not on either one.:{

this url has a transcript from yesterday's hearing so may make transcript at the hearing today; have to be a registered user but possibly Kat could get copy for CCN;

Wonder why HSAC didn't invite back PNACklehead Reichart Perle???
Maybe because everything he said in 2003 & 2005 was COMPLETELY WRONG and he is SO DISCREDITED that NOBODY (except the hardline rightwingers) believe him anymore???
I think this link will at least let us listen to it live.....I just tried it and the mental health subcommittee which is meeting now was on:

Let's hope it works!!!

on the radio, I have a feeling he won't be pulling any punches in his testimony this afternoon.

Way to go Wes!!
I think it is about that time again....
Time to draft Clark!

if this will be available to listen to later? Have to go to work, and although there's a computer, there's no speakers. :(

I am recording it, I think. ;) The file is getting awfully big and will take a long time on dial-up. It looks like their website gets these up pretty quick. Yesterdays stuff is already there. It might be quicker to listen from there.

I really don't want to leave! LOL!! Thanks so much, Ruth!

n/a

to hear the "lite" laughter & aw shucks parliamentary jokes here, isn't it? It reminds me of Jim Webb just about two days ago when he said that for some, the war in Iraq/Afghanistan is an intellectual or emotional exercise
I have been reading about him, and it definitely him. I also agree they love Clark because he gives hope.

now- not sure who this is answering about an ambassador of peace...

Heheh...they hate people like Cheney and Max Boot, they are skeptical of average people like myself (Khan) and they love people like General Clark because he gives them hope.
"Some of them put on their cowboy boots and put their feet up on the desk." -Wes Clark

Dr. Muqtedar Khan is giving some context the depth of differences of people governments in the region and the government relationship to US and how juxtaposed the people of those government feel about US;
he included this and don't we feel the same ( as if 'we the people' are so much on the outside we aren't even living in the spirit of community that is America because the American spirit is so preverted now )
Khan said some peoplein region look at Gen Clark and the good part of America and they hope that will balance the bad forces in America;

Max Boot is deeply disturbed & likely insane, I just want to state this for the record.

It was Ms. Schaffer.
"Some of them put on their cowboy boots and put their feet up on the desk." -Wes Clark

is such a dumbass word to use regarding Iraq. It's not our country.

but right before I left someone said to Clark that he was speaking as a Democrat -- or words to that effect. In fact, he actually interrupted Clark to say that. Clark didn't get a chance to respond before I left.
How f'ing frustrating for our General to have someone slap him in the face with that when ONE of the conditions that is preventing him from running is that he doesn't want his words to be politicized. And it doesn't even matter, does it? Grrrrr.
I think it must have been Boot.
Once in a while you get shown the light, In the strangest of places if you look at it right.

it is hours later so I don't want to rely on my memory; but more direct and indirect stuff about Wes criticizing this administration and gabs about him being partisan;
at one point somebody came into the meeting who had been on the floor of Congress instead of meeting; addressed remarks to Wes and said as someone who ran for president but ISN"T going to run this time you have blank blank blank
any case another jab partisan - - and Wes answered really well
and opened up his response with ' I warn you I haven't said I won't run;

Still listening to Diane Rehm show -- hope the HASC testimony will be available soon! Will catch KO at 9! A good Clark Day! :D

whatever it takes. The country isn't thrilled with any of the candidates on either side that I can see. There has to be more than who can raise the most money.
I think most Americans can see that there is no shortage of rich people wanting the power of the presidency. I hope now that they want someone who can get us out of this mess without sacrificing whatever is left of the goodwill this country used to have.
It's a shame that the mainstream media won't carry meetings like the one today. I was so proud of the general and the compliments to him by most of the panel.

think it was a backwards spin announcement; I think Hillary is inevitable;
and we will deserve her - we must have c#(#&*$($&*karma
Bush Bush Clinton Clinton Bush Bush Clinton Clinton
we get stuck with this crap we are paying a big price for twisted shadowy imperialist simmering forever in US past and present;
we deserve better but we are not going to get it;

Hats off, General Clark- this might be the closest I ever get to getting a "real" fireside chat!!!

Click! What Boot just said about allowing immigrants without green cards to serve just completed the picture for me. They don't just want them as cheap labor; they want them for cannon fodder for endless wars.

something about my proxy settings - both here (home - where I dashed after discovering my work PC couldn't or wouldn't let me listen) and at work...er...guess I just parenthetically said that.
I look forward to a transcript. But oh how I'd love to be able to listen in. Wah.

anyone going????
