Knightrider's picture

Hey,.. yep I made it here! :) How could I not? ;)

First, I have to include the UStream.tv video of Clark's speech featured at YKos website, mostly because I actually had little time to actually listen to him attentively while taking pics .

Second, I want to share these "raw and unedited pics", until I have time to do so, when I return home tonight.

Wes Clark & CCN’ers at YKos 2007 - Slideshow

ALBUM UPDATE: Clark's Keynote Address photos is now updated! :)

However throughout the day, I'll be editing, reviewing and shuffling more photos from separate events into 3+ more albums. :)

The album above now contains those pics leading to, during and after Wes Clark's keynote address at YKos. These have quickly corrected for color tone as possible, given the low lighting.

For now, these photos are grouped here for Howard Dean's keynote and here for the Clark Bloggers reunion at Gracie's :)

I think your titles got corrupted.

I think it should be "WKC at KY" or use WC3 :-D.

Nice pics and thanks.

MORE PICS!!!  YEAAA!!!

Well I wouldn't mind seeing more beautiful and great Clarkies. And of course, none of us can get tired of looking at Gen Clark. He is "beautiful/handsome" inside and out. And of course if you like to do portraits of people every artist would be interested in him... You know what I mean, KR. So you better continue taking pics :-P.

P.S.  May god bless you for taking so many and trying to figure out which ones to put up...it will probably take you at least half a day.

You'd be taking them to the Better Business Bureau if you bought a washing machine the way we went into the war in Iraq. Wes Clark, CNN Aug 17 2003

THANK you for taking the time to share these with us. I started crying about 10 photos in -- I don't know why. I guess there's a lot of hope and joy coming right through the tubes. Thank you thank you!!!

I only recognize a handful or six Clarkies. I never really noticed before, but I wonder if Arky Sue is part Indian? Ask her for me, k? ;)

I tested on my photobucket and you can use this one if you like. And by the way that  is YOUR pic of Gen Clark's portrait, and artistically it's the best of him. I was very happy and honored to contribute a little bit... And thanks for the opportunity, KR. :-).

well I guess you ought'ta know, MA3.

Oh,.. I forgot to mention that I printed your design onto an 8x10 high-gloss paper, framed it and asked Luther to present it, as a gift by us bloggers, to General Clark. :)

All summed, I actually took over 600 pics (and not including ~100, which were deleted. :I

soooo,....what do you use for red-eye? ;)

And it was given to Gen Clark! :-O. wow, now I get all picky on this, were the colors right? Sorry, I am a perfectionist :-P. But thank you so much KR for putting your trust on me to create something like this especially using your photo. ((hugs))

P.S. I think Donjo got-cha and posted a nice pic of you in his photo slide show ;-).

Here is the final album of photos of the Science Forum that I attended! :) Chris Mooney had already posted a blog at the HuffingtonPost that's actually an excellent synopsis of the talks by its speakers. Here, he also mentions General Clark for his participation at last year's YearlyKos;

The Intersection of Science and Progressive Values

"In 2006 in Las Vegas, none other than General Wesley Clark headed up the Kos science panel and provided a powerful speech about the centrality of scientific research to our quest for national advancement and social progress. Clark's talk -- paralleled by recent efforts on the part of the Democratic Congress to draw attention to abuses against science by the Bush administration and to ramp up our national competitiveness in science -- showed just how much this sleeper issue has, in the past several years, gone mainstream and merged with core concerns of progressive voters and those who represent them. ..."

snip>

"That highlights a fundamental truth about most science policy issues: the inescapable fact of both science and reality is that that we never know everything, and never will. Yet this pervasive state of uncertainty hardly lessens the moral imperative to take whatever it is that we do know and use it to improve our lives; and if we fail to do so -- because the issues are too politicized, say -- in the end we will have only ourselves to blame...."
