To Open Left: First, Do No Harm

Democratic politics
In pushing, nationwide, for a more progressinve shift to the left,
"Open Left" seems to pay no attention at all to the FACT that is giving the kind of talk that in many House districts,(mine
being one of them), electing
a "more to the left" Democratic candidate
virtualay guarantees a sure loss to a Republican in the House District Election".
So, if you want more Republicans in the House,
look to the primary and be sure to encourage voting for the
Democrat that is more to the Left rather than
than voting for the more Moderate Democrat. .
Tnat's exactly, exactly what I got from such
doings by Democrats who don't know House
Districts like mine where Republicans were elected.
Two good examples are Mississippi and Louisiana. They have ALL Replubican House members, except for ONE Democratic House Member each.
Please consider:
Both the one House Democrat elected from Louisiana, Congressman Charles Melancon, and the one House Democrat elected from Mississippi, Gene Taylor, were endorsed by Southerner General Wes Clark. They are Moderate Democrats. Everyone had to work hard and smart to get them in.
They were both magnificent on the floor of the House, and in getting help from other House Democrats in the Hurricane Katrina time.
ALL of the rest of the Reps are Republicans.
So," Open Left",please stop wielding
your power nationwise. It may be just
fine for some Districts. Keep it there.
Just stop pushing it all over the country.
In Districts where pushing it harms Democrats.
Stop these fantasies. Please. You're harming many
Democratic House Candidates across the country.

General Clark, Sir, please step to the podium.

Been wondering where ya been the last few days. Welcome home!

A retreat of sorts, with old friends, and thinking (foolishly) that it was an opportunity to sweep the cobwebs out of my head. But on my return I find that I'm just plain angrier and sadder than ever at this path down which our countrymen are being led by their collective noses.
...thinkin' maybe I need 3 full months to get a
new lease (or even a grip) yathink?
(how's that for off-topic?)
General Clark, Sir, please step to the podium.

I don't know how I'd make it through all this if it weren't for this place and you guys. I think once one starts paying attention, it's hard to go back to pretending everything's okay...
I don't know if this is related to the horrors we're witness to daily, but last night I decided to cut my hair. When done, I got out the rear view mirror and to my great dismay, found I'm going bald!!! Right on top of my head, big old bare spots that no one has ever mentioned... Cripes. I guess a bald head will fit right in with the serf clothing we may be wearing...
(and you think you went off topic! LOL!!)

jeeez, Jen
and you had quite a full head of hair judging from the photos I've seen...
that does it! I'm gonna go check out the back
of my head - if detect any male-pattern baldness,I think then that my choice is clear: I must expatriate myself for my own well-being.
General Clark, Sir, please step to the podium.

and decided to add dong quai and kelp to my diet. Oh, and more deep breathing.
