This sounds really excellent with an incredible line up of talent. I'd love to go but it's too hard to commit right now to next summer.

For those wondering-- it's only $99 for the lowest price admission for the three day event. Not bad considering the people there.

I am definitely going to consider this one ... Great catch!

is putting his money where is mouth is.

He is always talking about media consolidation and the problems that go with it. I heard recently that he and some other investors are trying to buy the progressive station in Eugene, Oregon because it was being shut down as a progressive station. I heard they are also looking at a station in Ohio!

This is what WE need!

Oh... he also harps, as does Thom Hartmann, about supporting the advertisers and telling them why. Also to support by buying ads.

Really would like to attend, can't commit now, but would really like to attend. Its time we get the FCC on a different track, as we are being taken over by the RW gov't in control of our airwaves. When active in Dish, was on list to STOP the RW attacks on our freedom of speech...their brainwashing tactics and loyalty to big corporations, TW, Comcast, etc..oh yeah Direct tv...Rupie..!

It would be great to see you again. I suggested some more speakers for them to add to their lineup - we'll see what happens. :)

Proud to be an American.

Been hectic for me the past year and a half, but I am a survivor. So many others are suffering from the greed this gov't has encouraged, through there fachist control of the media on TV , radio, etc!
The vast majority of the people are so uninformed, and unaware that the media is brainwashing them, until it is almost to late. The only hope is to get the FCC changed..Charlie Ergan (Dish) fought them for years...but the cable companies are owned by Bush Co...and now the economy, wars, and loss of jobs are finally waking people up, plus the Keith O, has opened the mouths of some of the media. THEY are allowing more to talk against the Bush administration, because they know, the Presidentcy will go Democratic. The free ride is over..they are going to have to adjust.
I miss seeing you, and glad you are back...I haven't talked to anyone (including my kids) that ISN"T voting for Hillary. The people have had it. My only hold out, was if Wes Ran...Michigan will go for Hillary for sure..
Talk soon...:)

Twenty-one consequtive years at beach with family the first week in August will prohibit my attendance.

Media consolidation has had disasterous results. At a conference yesterday, Michael J. Copps, a member of the Federal Elections Commission said that had Michael Powell (General Colin's son) gotten his way when he was chairman, the situation would have been WORSE.

The Madison Conference may be a step toward combating the result of current media consolidation, although it sounds like it might advocate consolidation of liberal (oops) progressive thought.

Did you ask who I was supporting in the DEM primary?

I'll be in Chicagoland this month before Thanksgiving. In the Loop and north shore. Coffee? Tea?

Sorry I missed the chance to have coffee, Gordon.
