Wes Clark's email appeal for Hillary : Experience

Dear Pamela, Help us reach our goal today. Help Hillary win!

For the next 28 days, I'm doing everything I can for Hillary. I'm hitting the campaign trail for Hillary in Iowa so I can talk to voters, make phone calls, and do whatever I can to help her campaign win. I've known Hillary for 24 years, and I've seen what she can do. That's why I'm traveling for her in Iowa, because I know that helping her in this race is the most important thing I can do at this moment.

There are just 28 days until the Iowa caucuses, and the race there is a dead heat. It's so close that anything -- no matter how small it may seem -- can make a difference. It could be one group of voters I talked to yesterday. It could be a donation you make today that puts Hillary over the top. I know from experience that everything we do at this critical moment matters.

Your action today can affect the ultimate outcome of this race. Hillary's campaign has set an ambitious goal for the week: $1.25 million to help her fight in the early states. We're more than halfway there, but we can't reach that goal without your help.

Click here to contribute today and help Hillary win.

We are facing tough times in this country. For seven years, we've learned a hard lesson: Experience matters. If we want to reverse George Bush's irresponsible course, we need real leadership.

Deciding to support Hillary was easy for me -- I know she'll make sound decisions and execute them flawlessly. I trust her to steer us straight at home and represent us ably abroad. So if we want to put our country back on track, you and I need to play an active role in her campaign -- especially at a critical moment like this.

Now there are just 28 days until the first contest in this race, the Iowa caucuses. In Iowa, the race is tight, and Hillary's supporters are excited and ready to get to work. I know I'm going to do everything I can to help her win, and I hope you'll join me now.

You can make a difference for her in a race this close. There's no better way than to help her reach that $1.25 million goal so she has what she needs to win.

Click here to make a contribution today.

Thank you for all you are doing to help Hillary change America.

Sincerely,
Wes Clark

Can you give me a list of sound decisions made by Hillary Clinton and how she's executed them flawlessly?

if you're truly interested.

Says that she agrees that Hillary Clinton will make sound decisons and execute them flawlessly, so I don't think it unreasonable to ask the basis for that conclusion. If you think someone will make sound decisions and execute them flawlessly, I'd think that you'd have some examples of that being done in the past. I'm sure googling can get you lots of information about decisions Hillary Clinton and everyone else has made, but I'm interested in which of those decisions WantMyCountryBack thinks were sound and flawlessly executed, and that's a subjective conclusion that's not going to be found by googling.

Is there any secret Wes penny code (like .04 in past years). Sorry I am kinda out of the loop.

I didn't think General Clark was right about the flag amendment either.

I do want to put our country back on track; but I wonder if a (still staunch) supporter of the AUMF-Iraq and the Kyl-Lieberman amendment really understands, as someone so frequently says, that war is a last, last, last, last resort.

On this, at least up to the nomination, I'm not going to follow the General's lead but rather my own view of which candidate is better. And this time, like last time, I find myself following Samantha Powers' lead.

first time for HRC--wasn't going to, but I am glad to do it for WKC's sake.
Not that I think HRC needs the $!
I sure hope she gets in a more positive, visionary mode soon--these attacks on BO are making her look small and silly, a little.
Has she spoken re infrastructure needs? This is a huge area to address--as is the deficit, which got a full page article in Jax paper--and is 90% tied to GOP policies. She could also address need for vocational education--another huge issue.

The General gets it right.
Competence--What a concept!

in this context. Here's what the voters think:

7. When making your selection for a presidential candidate, what are you looking for most in the candidate, charisma, experience, or ideology? (Democrats Only)
Ideology 32%
Charisma 28%
Experience 25%
Undecided 15%

Obama leads by 7% in this poll, well outside the margin of error. Of what worth is experience in community orgainizing, teaching constitutional law, or have the experiences of a non-white American growing up outside the U.S.

All of these are valuable "experiences," I would wager. In any case, it's interesting that experience is at 25%....and so is Hillary Clinton. A ceiling perhaps?

5. If the 2008 Democratic presidential caucus were held today between, Joeseph Biden, Hillary Clinton, Chris Dodd, John Edwards, Dennis Kucinich, Barack Obama, and Bill Richardson, for whom would you vote? (Democrats Only; Names Rotated)

Barack Obama 32%
Hillary Clinton 25%
John Edwards 25%
Joseph Biden 5%
Bill Richardson 3%
Chris Dodd 1%
Dennis Kucinich 1%
Undecided 8%

that 'dissent' is one thing, but that constantly hitting against a public figure's endorsee on his own website is another thing entirely.

You've got an Obama axe to grind. You post your blogs, dither about stating that you think you've been banned for doing so - when you weren't, that your blog was removed - it wasn't. You stated your case and are having your conversation. Great - more power to ya.

But now you've come to another's blog, highlighting Wes Clarks FUNDRAISING email for his candidate of choice - again, telling us why Senator Clinton, is, in your opinion - a bad choice.

See the difference? My guess is "no."

Submitted by Kat on December 6, 2007 - 6:26pm.

Kucinich is the most ideologically 'pure' of the left-leaning Dems.

Drawing conclusions about voter preferences based on this poll would indicate that Kucinich would be voters' #1 choice.

Not likely.

But you've hijacked a FUNDRAISING thread from a request BY Wes, posted by Nelsons!

That's the difference here. Geesh.

I mean seriously - why is that so hard to understand?

you, personally, aren't unwelcome now. However, your seeming inability to grasp that this particular site is not the place to blog your support of a candidate running against Wes' chosen candidate, is unwelcome.

No one here, I think, has any problem with your supporting Obama. Get a blog and tout him to your heart's content. Go to Obama's site and sing his praises. Post on dKos about him 'til the cows come home. But, yes, posting blogs on this site saying Obama is better than Wes' candidate is unwelcome, and in bad taste. Wes has chosen his candidate. This is his blog and his site.

If you disagree with his choice, that doesn't mean you have to leave - but I would think you would have fighured out by now that maybe you should just refrain from involving yourself in discussions about his candidate, and just stick to the other subjects. Or hey!...start a topic on something that has nothing to do with his candidate.

Please note: I've purposely used the term "his candidate", because this has nothing to do with who the candidate is and everything to do with the fact this is Wes Clark's site, he's made his choice, and respecting that choice by not trashing his candidate is the right thing to do.

Any mquestions??
