Hi Everyone,
Well - WesPAC's looking for those of you who have decided Hillary Clinton is your candidate.
If this is you - we'd really like to get you involved with all that's coming up, whether that means opportunities to go to other states and work on her behalf for General Clark, or write letters, phone bank, blog and all points in between.
If you'd like to get involved in this in a big way or a small way - then I'd like to invite you to join WesPAC's Yahoo Group for this very purpose. To join this group, here's what I need you to do:
1. If you haven't already - please go sign up @ http://www.hillaryclinton.com/join/
2. Forward a copy of your Team Hillary welcome email to me at kellyflinn@securingamerica.com - when I get it, I'll send you the link to the new WesPAC Yahoo group asap.
3. When you go to the Yahoo Group Home page, click on the "Join This Group" button. That'll send me a notice to approve your membership. I'll approve it, you'll be in, and away we'll go!
Thanks very much for everything you're all doing to help General Clark and WesPAC get us back on the right track in 2008! Never doubt how much it's appreciated!

is perfect. Anything that shows you're actually supporting her, (and the first person who makes a 'loyalty oath' crack, lol, will earn troll ratings from me for a month. You know, I think I've only troll rated two comments on here ever...so that person would also have a new record too).
Glad you both asked this. I was trying to think of what someone could send if they deleted their Team Hillary email. Perfect timing!

Perfect! Thanks.

In the meantime, can we turn this into a "Wes for Veep" site?
or so they keep saying here. Except when it comes to Hillary, the story changes... just like previous comments regarding... oh, sorry, I lost my head.
instead of being the Al Gore, much less the Dan Quayle.
Face it, instead of being a cypher or impeachment insurance, Cheney is really running the show. I used to joke, after Bush said that he really wanted to close down Gitmo but couldn't, that "Dick Cheney won't let me!" (in a whiny voice).
And besides, Wes won't be eligible for SecDef in January 2009.
Hillary's nomination isn't a done deal yet. Wes would be good as the next in line for Obama, Edwards, Biden, or anyone else who headed the ticket. I'll vote for any of them over any Republican.
Gen. Clark would probably do it if he was asked to for the good of the country and so that the ticket would have the best possible chances of winning!
Gen. Clark on the ticket with Hillary would not be inert like how John Edwards was with Kerry in 2004. Edwards on the ticket did nothing that I could see to help Kerry against the other side while Bush and Cheney were tag-teaming Kerry non-stop!
Gen. Clark will not take any crap from the other side and he would be very effective against the 2008 GOP nominee in my opinion!
Also, I think that honor and integrity probably needs to be restored more to the office of VP after Cheney leaves than it does to the Oval office after Bush leaves. Each person can decide for themself what they think about that!

I think Wes was referring to having to hand-hold the President.
Sure, he could be someone's Al Gore, no problem!

I've been trying for years to dispel the meme Wes doesn't want to be anyone's dick cheney. Some people here kept it up to the point of whether or not he wanted the vp slot they chose not to let him. Let's stop that now.
I don't know if he wants the job or not. If he does he'll work to get it. When I see him working towards that end I'll know. Until then I am assuming he is happy where he is at.

I believe the exact quote was that he wouldn't be "Howard Dean's Dick Cheney."
It was said on a telephone conference call during the 2004 campaign while he was driving through NH campaigning. I remember this vividly because I was shocked by the bluntness of the statement, but pleased by the sentiment.
It was also a statement made by a man running for President. I'd fully expect anyone in that position to discourage the notion of a lesser office.
it was morphed into Wes For Veep in September...not very active, but have a look, if you like

But am happy to help if there's something else I can do for the cause.

I didn't keep mine a few weeks ago when I got it. What can I do, send you the link to my blog over there- is there a specific piece of info that you need, like a number that might have been contained in it or something? I don't know how to (re)generate one.
