Target: George Bush and his Administration

I believe my biggest concern is the environment. So you can imagine my reaction when I read this in the NYT this morning.

"BALI, Indonesia (AP) -- The United States will come up with its own plan to cut global-warming gases by mid-2008, and won't commit to mandatory caps at the U.N. climate conference here, the chief U.S. negotiator said Saturday."

I really, REALLY, want George Bush and his inept administration gone. It is far more important to me than whether Oprah went to Iowa or what Chelsea Clinton has been doing.

Which candidate has the most aggressive proposal on the environment? That's the person I want.

It's where I was surprised by Huckabee's views.

Here’s a sample from a “Hillary TV” piece about energy:

Click: http://www.hillaryclinton.com/video/11.aspx

“The more energy self sufficient we become, the more we can stop spending billions of dollars and sending them to unstable regimes all over the world, some of whom are even financing terrorism against us. The sooner we can start protecting our planet, the better off we will all be. It’s really that simple.”

“I’m proposing we undertake an Apollo-like effort to make clean and alternative energy the energy of America. The country that both split the atom, and put a man on the moon can take the oil out of our tanks and utilize the power of technology to find smart solutions for our energy future, and to create millions of jobs throughout the United States. “

“I’m proposing new legislation that would create a Strategic Energy Fund, that will invest in developing and deploying clean and alternative energy – home grown energy. And we can create this fund without new taxes on the hardworking Americans who are paying more at the pump, but with the windfall profits of the oil companies that just announced the largest earnings of any companies in the history of the planet.”
