has been moving blue at the state level for quite some time now.
Good for them!

Missoula has a huge progressive community. I lived in the Bitterroot Valley many years ago, worked on a bio-dynamic, organic coop farm. Missoula was our closest city -- about 30 miles north -- and even back then (early '80's) there were lots of liberals/progressives opening natural food stores, alternative health centers, cool shops, vege restaurants, etc.
My boyfriend at the time, stayed there, married and had a family, and they are still running the farm. One of the original members branched off and opened an organic dairy, and some other folks branched off into a seed company. Although everything has been organic for 20 years, with the new laws that went into effect in 2006, they can no longer advertise as "organic" unless they jump through a bunch of bureaucratic hoops and pay a few thousand dollars a year. Instead they have formed a "Sustainable Growers Union" with others in the area, and everyone around there knows they are and always have been organic, so it works.
They and the people in Missoula worked their a**es off to get Tester elected. I bet they are thrilled beyond belief to have this new station! Woot!!
