It's Time For Texas & Ohio! Let's Make Them Count !!
Submitted by kaflinn on February 11, 2008 - 11:35pm.

Ladies & Gentleman - this presidential primary is turning out to be every bit as monumental as we all thought it would be.
On March 4th, two major states will have their voices heard. I'm asking for every able bodied volunteer, who supports Wes, and supports Hillary, to step up and help us deliver these states!
We need people to make calls, write letters, and more. If you are willing to stand up and do it again, then log in and sign on here to this blog. I'll be checking this blog several times a day, and will make sure you're help is utilized. You can also cut out the middlewoman (me) and go straight to emailing Stan Davis (to make calls) at
and/or Tricia Spiegel (for writing letters)at
.
I can't begin to thank all of you enough for all you've done these many, many months. We've got a little further to go yet. Just think of it this way - at the very worst, on Novemeber 5th, you can all sleep in as late as you want, lol.
Seriously though, thank you for everything you've all done for our country and for General Clark.

Welcome to Texas for Hillary
On March 4, the Texas primary will help decide who will become the next president. We know that Hillary has the strength and experience to lead on day one, and we need to reach out to as many voters as we can in Texas and tell them about her vision for the country.
We will need your help to be successful. Our Texas organization is driven by volunteers like you, talking to people, one-on-one. You can get involved by using this website to find an event near you, make calls from right where you are, or take a leadership role in the campaign.
Here are just two ways you can get started now:
Volunteer in Texas and help us in your area

Help us build our base and engage your friends and neighbors to get involved.
Your support will make all the difference in helping Hillary win Texas.

A good question asked by PAforClark: "Tell me why I should vote FOR Clinton?"

I especially like these two points that are relevant to Gen. Clark:
7) Gen. Clark supporting Hillary's campaign is something that every Clark supporter should very seriously consider in my opinion because an endorsement from Gen. Clark does not come lightly and is something that has to be earned:

Hillary started a new website titled "The Hillary I Know" that Gen. Clark is on!

I definitely agree with Gen. Clark's decision to endorse Hillary for the following reasons that are mentioned in this post which I think are very realistic:

8) We know FOR CERTAIN that Gen. Clark has a place with Hillary Clinton while we do not know where he stands with Barack Obama:

Hillary said about Gen. Clark that "he will have a role in her administration"

This point in my opinion should especially carry a lot of weight with serious Clark supporters!

Remember that the lists Tricia and I have are lists of people who have signed up either at Clark04.com or WesPAC since the campaign. I have 526 Ohioans and 1294 Texans who have what appear to be good phone numbers, although many will be out of date. Our phone-calling success rate (actually talking to the listed person) has been 20-25%, so if you take a substantial list, you'll probably not get ahold of all of them. Tricia's letter-writing list (those without phone numbers) includes 124 Ohioans and 246 Texans.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!!
Phone-calling tips: Remember that we're calling on a Clarkie-to-Clarkie basis. Start out that way. "Hi! I'm Stan Davis from Denver, a fellow Wes Clark fan, and I'm calling for the Hillary Clinton for President campaign. Do you have a couple of minutes to talk politics?" Try to find out whom they're supporting and why. If they're already supporting Hillary, that's great and say so. Then try to get their promise to vote on March 4. If they're undecided or supporting Obama, try to find out why and counter their arguments. But stay friendly, respect their wishes if they won't change their mind, and wish them all the best for the future since we all share the same objective. By all means, remain positive and avoid trashing Obama. Rather, explain why Hillary would be a better President.
I have a form for feedback documenting the result of the call -- if they weren't home, the number is no longer is service, is a business number where they can't discuss politics openly, whom they're supporting, the strength of their commitment, and how likely they are to actually vote.
It should take no more than a few minutes per call unless you get ahold of a chatty Kathy doll.
It's now or never in these two states. Later, Pennsylvania could be the coup de grâce one way or another.
As we say in Oklahoma, it's nut-cuttin' time. If you'd like to help, e-mail me (sdavis8585@msn.com).
