YouTube: Chris Matthews said Clinton Press Shop Composed of "Kneecappers"

Hello Everyone:
Here is the YouTube video where Chris Matthews definitely seems to be much more interested in expressing his own personal bias against Hillary Clinton's campaign than he is at being an objective news journalist which he is supposed to be (at least in theory):

CNN RELIABLE SOURCES
A Look at Coverage of Presidential Campaign
Aired February 17, 2008 - 10:00 ET
HOWARD KURTZ, HOST: "All right. Let me flip-flop to the next subject.
And I'm not even going to characterize this. I just want to play what Chris Matthews had to say on MSNBC on Friday morning. He, as many of our viewers know, has had a difficult relationship with Hillary Clinton's campaign. In fact, he had to apologize a few weeks ago for having said that Hillary's political success was basically because her husband fooled around a decade ago.
Let's watch.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
CHRIS MATTHEWS, MSNBC: What she has to do is get rid of the kneecappers that work for her, these press people whose main job seems to be punishing Obama or going after the press, to building a positive case for her. I just don't think the kneecapping has worked. I think her press relations are lousy.
I think if all you do is intimidate and punish and claim you'll get even relentlessly, people -- all kinds of politicians, and, in full fairness, the press -- human reaction to intimidation is, screw you.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
KURTZ: Is this a case of settling scores? Of course, MSNBC also had the situation with David Shuster, who was suspended for two weeks, we're now told, for making that "pimped out" remark about Chelsea Clinton.
Is he settling scores there?
AMY HOLMES, CNN POLITICAL ANALYST: Oh, I think this is definite payback..."
There is absolutely no question that Chris Matthews has been very biased against Hillary Clinton in this campaign so far which I have credibly and thoroughly documented:

Why I think Chris Matthews crossed the line showing his own bias against Hillary
Submitted by Mitch Dworkin on November 5, 2007 - 3:30am.
My conclusion is that because Chris Matthews cannot be objective when he reports about Hillary Clinton, he should recuse himself from commenting on her just like how Keith Olbermann recused himself from interviewing Bush and Rudy Giuliani because of his own personal bias and the conflict of interest that he knew it would cause:

Obama Wins Big in South Carolina; Bill Clinton Scolds Journalists

HOWARD KURTZ, HOST: "You've been co-anchoring MSNBC's news coverage on primary nights. Is there a collision of roles between being a neutral anchor and the very opinionated guy we see on "Countdown?"
KEITH OLBERMANN, HOST, "COUNTDOWN": I don't think there's that much of a collision. I think if you're smart enough to know when to do one and do the other, there shouldn't be a problem.
In areas that I thought might be particularly sensitive -- for instance, if for some reason the president of the United States wanted to come on and make a statement during our coverage of the Republican primary, I would step aside for that interview. I would not take advantage of that situation, you know, and shout nasty things about him.
We've had Rudy Giuliani...
KURTZ: You'd get good ratings if you did that.
OLBERMANN: Well, yes, but -- OK, but -- but that, to me, is a secondary point there. There is some personal responsibility. You have to say, no, I don't think I should be here.
More practically, we had Rudy Giuliani on twice, and he was the subject of one of my comments, and I didn't think it was appropriate for me to -- you know, to be part of that interview, so I literally recused myself in each case and let Chris Matthews do the entire interview, which I don't think that hurts anybody. I think it just gives you that -- that little amount of wiggle room that you need in these scenarios..."
Here is the video link to watch Howard Kurtz interviewing Keith Olbermann on CNN Reliable Sources where Olbermann made these comments:

This video is from CNN's Reliable Sources, broadcast January 27, 2008.
I would like to see MSNBC ban Chris Matthews from commenting on Hillary Clinton because he cannot be objective in his reporting, he is probably trying to settle scores as Howard Kurtz suggested, and he is clearly rooting for Obama right now!
In my opinion, it is as much of a conflict of interest for Chris Matthews to be commenting on Hillary Clinton right now who he clearly does not like as it would be for Keith Olbermann to interview Bush or Rudy Giuliani who he clearly does not like!
Please forward this information on so that all people will know that Chris Matthews is definitely biased against Hillary Clinton and that he is NOT credible in his reporting about her. Anything negative that he says about Hillary or anything positive that he says about Barack Obama definitely has to be taken with a grain of salt in my opinion because he is clearly NOT a truly objective reporter or journalist!

Hillary rips MSNBC's Shuster

ORONO, MAINE — Hillary Rodham Clinton on Saturday morning ripped MSNBC over reporter David Shuster’s suggestion that Chelsea Clinton was “sort of being pimped out” by the campaign.
“I found the remarks incredibly offensive,” Clinton told reporters in this snowy town outside Bangor. Earlier, she sent a letter to NBC brass that called for swift action against Shuster, who was suspended Friday by MSNBC.
“Nothing justifies the kind of debasing language that David Shuster used and no temporary suspension or half-hearted apology is sufficient,” Clinton wrote to NBC News President Steve Capus, who apparently had already called Clinton to personally apologize.
“I would urge you to look at the pattern of behavior on your network that seems to repeatedly lead to this sort of degrading language,” Clinton wrote. “There’s a lot at stake for our country in this election. Surely, you can do your jobs as journalists and commentators and still keep the discourse civil and appropriate.”
NBC did not immediately respond to an e-mailed request for comment.
The letter and harsh rebuke followed similar comments made by her top advisers and came a day after Shuster issued an on-air apology and was suspended.
The hubbub started Thursday, when Shuster guest-hosted Tucker Carlson’s MSNBC show, “Tucker.” In a discussion about Chelsea Clinton’s role in calling superdelegates on behalf of her mother’s presidential campaign, he asked whether she was “sort of being pimped out in some weird sort of way.”
The Clinton campaign immediately demanded an apology and floated the possibility that Clinton would no longer participate in an MSNBC debate, scheduled for Feb. 26. The campaign did not explain under what conditions Clinton would participate in MSNBC's debate.
In her comments to reporters Friday, Clinton sounded ambivalent about participating in the debate.
“We’ve accepted a lot of debates from a lot of different sponsors, and we’re going to wait and see how this plays out,” she said.
“I am a mom first and a candidate second,” she said. “You know I can take whatever comes my way. That’s what I signed up for as a candidate and an office holder.”
She cast Shuster’s comments as part of “a troubling pattern of comments and behavior that has to be held accountable.”
MSNBC host Chris Matthews last month apologized over remarks he made about Clinton that were widely denounced as sexist.
FULL TEXT OF LETTER:
Dear Mr. Capus,
Thank you for your call yesterday. I wanted to send you this note to convey the depth of my feeling about David Shuster's comments.
I know that I am a public figure and that my daughter is playing a public role in my campaign. I am accustomed to criticism, certainly from MSNBC. I know that it goes with the territory.
However, I became Chelsea's mother long before I ran for any office and I will always be a mom first and a public official second.
Nothing justifies the kind of debasing language that David Shuster used and no temporary suspension or half-hearted apology is sufficient.
I would urge you to look at the pattern of behavior on your network that seems to repeatedly lead to this sort of degrading language.
There's a lot at stake for our country in this election. Surely, you can do your jobs as journalists and commentators and still keep the discourse civil and appropriate.
Sincerely,
Hillary Rodham Clinton
