ANALYSIS: Geraldine Ferraro; The reasons why Obama is where he is at right now!

Hello Everyone:
Here are the quotes from Geraldine Ferraro documented by CNN where she said "If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if was a woman, he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept" and where she also said "In 1984, if my name were Gerard Ferraro instead of Geraldine Ferraro, I would never have been the nominee for vice president:"

SUZANNE MALVEAUX, CNN WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT: The Clinton campaign is facing pointed criticism from the Obama camp today after controversial comments were published in a California publication "The Daily Breeze" by Clinton fundraiser and financial adviser, and former vice presidential nominee, Geraldine Ferraro.
In an interview, Ferraro said, "If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if was a woman, he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept."

WOLF BLITZER, CNN ANCHOR: "Let's talk about Geraldine Ferraro for a moment. And I want to read what the 1984 Democratic vice presidential nominee told a California newspaper: "If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman, he would not be in position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is and the country is caught up in the concept."
Now just a little while ago, she was asked for clarification on Fox and here's what she said.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
GERALDINE FERRARO, FORMER DEMOCRATIC VICE PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE: I got up and the question was asked so what -- how do -- why do you think Barack Obama is in the place he is today, with all these candidates and all these delegates and all the rest of this stuff?
And I said, in large measure, because he's black. And I said let me, before I go on, let me also say that in 1984 -- and I've said this -- if I've said it once, I've said it 20, 30, 50, 100 times since the '84 campaign. In 1984, if my name were Gerard Ferraro instead of Geraldine Ferraro, I would never have been the nominee for vice president.
(END VIDEO CLIP)"
Geraldine Ferraro's quotes about Obama are factually correct in my opinion because that is definitely what the evidence and what the polls credibly document:

JOHN KING, CNN CHIEF NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT: "This is part of a bigger divide, Wolf, that is the thing that Democrats most worry about hurting the party. You have leading women's groups -- the National Organization of Women, EMILY's List, structural, powerful influential groups in the Democratic Party who have been working for Senator Clinton for a long time who say it's our turn. We have a candidate who could win the presidential election.
You have African-Americans -- many who were not with Barack Obama at the beginning or didn't think he could win at the beginning -- now saying wow, it's our chance. And you have this rawness between these two groups that have traditionally been allies in the Democratic Party. And there are many now worrying that this could get ugly and there could be long-term damage..."

Obama Wins Mississippi Primary; Geraldine Ferraro Stands Behind Comments About Obama; Why has Hillary Clinton Lost Some Black Support?
Aired March 11, 2008 - 20:00 ET
WOLF BLITZER, CNN ANCHOR: "It's been estimated that between 60 percent to 70 percent of the Democrats voting in Mississippi are African-Americans. And, so far, in many of these contests, he's been getting about 80 percent of that African-American vote.
I want to walk over to Soledad O'Brien, because, Soledad, you and your team, you have been looking at these exit polls, polls that are conducted with people who actually went out there and voted today. And we spoke to them as they emerged, after they cast their ballots.
And we're learning some useful information, what's on the minds of voters in Mississippi?
SOLEDAD O'BRIEN, CNN ANCHOR: Yes, it absolutely helps us draw a picture of what might be happening down the road. So, here's a look at what we are looking for and looking at. This is going to be a race, Wolf, that's really about race at the end of the day. So, we're watching the black/white breakdown very closely here.
When you take a look at the white voters, Hillary Clinton is leading there -- 72 percent of the white vote is what Hillary Clinton is getting. Barack Obama's getting around 27 percent. You and I have spoken in the past about that. That's a low, low number. That's got to be a real concern for him, because he has got to bring that number up across the South or that's going to be a problem.
When you take a look at African-American voters, you mentioned an 80 percent figure. Well, that figure for Barack Obama is 91 percent now in Mississippi is what we're seeing in these exit poll numbers, a huge, huge number. More importantly maybe would be what Clinton's getting, nine percent. When you look back in Alabama, her number was 15 percent, real disintegration there. So, we're watching that very closely as well..."

PAT BUCHANAN, MSNBC POLITICAL ANALYST: "I think when you say something is racist, that‘s a subjective judgment by individuals. I think what—if she had said, The only reason Barack Obama is where he is is because he‘s African-American, that would be false and foolish.
But there‘s no question about it, because Barack Obama is an African-American—why else would a state senator be given the keynote position at the Democratic convention? Why else is Barack Obama winning 91 percent of the African-American vote? Why else has the liberal media nationally fallen all over him to the point where they‘re satirized on “Saturday Night Live”? Why is Barack Obama going to roll right through Philly and that area and some of those suburbs?
And the fact that he‘s African-American is an enormous attribute to him, a political attribute in this campaign. And if he were not an African-American and he were a—spent two years in the United States Senate, I do not think he would be the front-running candidate for the nomination. And I think an awful lot of Americans would agree with that statement..."

Even though it may be "politically incorrect" to say, this evidence in my opinion very credibly documents beyond the shadow of any doubt that Geraldine Ferraro's statements about Obama are factually correct!
However the issue of race alone is NOT the only reason why Barack Obama is where he is at in this primary struggle right now which is something that Ferraro in my opinion should have also mentioned.
Barack Obama is also where he is right now because of two other main reasons which are that he is a great orator at about the same level of a big name motivational speaker such as Tony Robbins and because most of the mainstream media have been giving him a free ride so far:
1) Obama is a fantastic orator, he has great style, he has been described as being a "movement" and a "phenomenon," and he has a very popular message of "Change" after 7+ lousy years of Bush and Cheney BUT he is clearly lacking when it comes to actual substance on the issues and many of his supporters do NOT even know what he stands for as far as the issues are concerned which I have credibly documented:

Here is where CNN documented that people are supporting Obama for the reasons of "I don't know" and "makes me feel young" which in my opinion are NOT the right reasons why to be supporting a serious Presidential candidate in a very important election when so much will be on the line and when there will probably not be very room for any margin of error, especially on the issues of Iraq and foreign policy:

2) It is a credibly documented fact that Barack Obama has been getting a near free ride from most of the mainstream media and that the media has been much tougher on Hillary than they have been on Obama:

There is NO question in my opinion of anti-Hillary media bias...

Barack Obama is finally getting a little bit more media scrutiny right now than he has received all along which is a good thing BUT it is very long overdue:

Some much needed media scrutiny of Obama came just before his losses on Tuesday!
Submitted by Mitch Dworkin on March 5, 2008 - 4:08am.
So my conclusion based on all of the facts and evidence that I am looking at is that Barack Obama is really where he is at right now NOT because of his showing any substance on the issues BUT rather because of his race as Geraldine Ferraro mentioned, because of what a great charismatic speaker that he is which emotionally hooks people, and because most of the media have been giving him a near free ride and have been much tougher on Hillary!
Because this is the case and because the other side is right about Obama's lack of substance, I do NOT believe that Barack Obama will be electable in the general election IF he is the nominee unless he gets a very lucky break of some kind to help him out!
I do not see how that Barack Obama can be credibly defended from attacks by the other side IF he is the nominee when they are right about so many things about him:

VIDEOS: Obama's association with radical William Ayers and Rev. Jeremiah Wright!
Submitted by Mitch Dworkin on March 14, 2008 - 9:44am.
"It is truly a sad day in my opinion when because so many pundits in the mainstream media are not doing their jobs of scrutinizing Barack Obama's record and his past, I actually have to quote two credible video documentaries from Sean Hannity on his FOX News program "Hannity's America" to show Obama's previous association with a radical terrorist named William Ayers and with his highly controversial preacher Jeremiah Wright..."
Barack Obama may have done some good things at the local level which would qualify him to be in the Senate BUT he has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that I have seen so far which qualifies him to be the next President who will inherit a huge foreign policy and economic mess from Bush on 1/20/09 when there will probably be very little to no room for any margin of error on judgment!
I use my real name on this blog on purpose because I am proud to stand behind and defend what I write. IF Obama is the nominee and if I do not think that he cannot answer the tough questions with any kind of credibility, then there is not much I can see that I can do for him. I will definitely NOT put my credibility on the line trying to defend what cannot be reasonably defended which is why I will NOT lift a finger to try and help Obama in the general election IF he is the nominee!
John McCain will probably crush Barack Obama like an egg shell in my opinion IF he is the nominee when he asks Obama to articulate on the tough questions which many Democrats and which most of the media have not asked him yet!
Hillary on the other hand will be able to answer the tough questions and she will be far less vulnerable than Obama would be in the general election because she has already been fully vetted and tested:

Listen to Gen. Wes Clark fight for Dems on Sean Hannity's radio program: An excellent example for all of us to follow and what we all need to be doing to help fight back against extreme right wing Neocon smear propaganda!

in my opinion, is the phenom of white-guilt liberals who talk him up (and Hillary down), fund him, and throng to the caucuses to vote for him and try to somehow expiate their racial feelings of superiority! I can't get over Bob Beckel saying he goes to a black church once a month and listens to a preacher putting down white people! Is this somehow like going to confession and having the priest tell you what to do to atone for sins? How selfish can such people be to take down the whole Democratic campaign just so they will feel a little better! Because we will certainly lose to McCain if Obama is the nominee--and they must know this!
