It's time for sincere Rep. and Ind. Hillary supporters to come aboard.

My cousin's wife, who I'm pretty sure is not a Democrat, recently sent me an email in which she described some of the many challenges she and other hard working women routinely face. She also sent me this link to a story entitled "Women Push Back in Support of Clinton". She would love to see Hillary win the Presidency, and in that I am confident that she is representative of many other women in this country who are not Democrats.

Here's another one.

As anyone who knows me is aware, I am convinced that Hillary is the best candidate, and would make the best President. She truly understands the many problems my cousin-in-law described so personally, and she has the grit and determination to solve those problems. Although I suspect he and his supporters believe he is very sincere, Barack Obama just doesn't impress me as quite ready to be relied upon to get things done; and it seems to me that John McCain really could care less about most of what my cousin-in-law described. Of course I would love to see more men backing Hillary for President. At the same time, I'm all for our mothers and sisters and daughters being the principle voters who bring about Hillary's election. Somehow, that just seems like an appropriate chapter in the still evolving history of women's rights.

The trouble is that there are so many Democrats who have bought the nonsense that Hillary can't win in November and Barack Obama can.

In response to that nonsense, personally, I think it would be terrific if Republicans and Independents, particularly women, rose up right now and made it clear that they think the change this country needs is to put a woman like Hillary in charge; and because of that they are more than ready to consider voting for Hillary in November. I mean, after all, male politicians don't have such a great record of problem solving lately, do they?

What Hillary most needs now, is for more strong women and men to help her to victories in the remaining states. If you think you know someone who can do anything to help in those states, I hope you will reach out to them. Person to person, woman to woman, and man to man is a great way to help Hillary bring this long overdue and greatly deserved victory home. We can do this, and in addition to our great Democratic base, there are lots of Independent and Republican women (and even a few Independent and Republican men) out there that we need to encourage to join us and get active for Hillary right now.

I applaud each and every one of us who rises up for Hillary, but in this diary I want to especially applaud those Republicans and Independents who sincerely rise to support her now, at this very critical time in her candidacy.
