"She's got the kitchen sink flying, the china flying,
and the, you know, the buffet is coming at me."

Hillary Clinton: "Well, I know that some of my opponents'
supporters and my opponent have been complaining about hard
questions. Well, having been in the White House for eight years
and seeing what happens in terms of the pressures and the
stresses on the president, that was nothing. I am with
Harry Truman on this: if you can't stand the heat, get out of
the kitchen. I am very comfortable in the kitchen."

Poor Barack. What a "wimpy" cry for help. Surely, the Obamans and
their MSM apologists will respond in unison to rescue their messiah.
Should he expect less? Does he have a right to expect less?
Should our president be less of a scrappy fighter than those
leaders who led us out of worldly crises in the past?
Could this "change" take the heat?

Well, when she did last fall and winter, she was roundly dissed, and her negatives went up. Now it seems the MSM is admiring O's fighting spirit.
Not all of them, though. David Brooks has done a turnabout.

Now he's evoking the image of a shrewish housewife, in a kitchen, the way women are supposed to be, apparently.
That's a lovely reframe on her part. Classy, intelligent and tough. Well, if he can't take running against HER, I wonder how he thinks he'd cope with the Republican playbook?
believe and anything less will be considered as being cheated. That was an observation presented by Sam Donaldson during the Rountable discussion this morning. (ABCNews.com)

Him got the kitchen sink flying at him from that mean bad bad bad Hillary!
Poor Barack!
Evoking Harry Truman's hot kitchen and the fact that she's comfortable there! BO sounds like he's completely losing it when he throws out undeniably sexist-sounding rhetoric like that. What does he think he's going to accomplish? Does he believe voters will say, "Oh, that Hillary is just too mean! She might be rude to the Iranians!" Or does he think he can goad her into some racist-sounding comeback? All I can imagine is that he wants to remind male voters simply that she's a woman or wants to paint her as an out-of-control shrew who throws dishes in the midst of a hissy-fit! (Next, he'll be talking about the legendary ash tray!) Does he think he looks like some good ole' boy making fun of the female sex and thus will get the male vote, black, white, or other? To me, he sounds more like some milquetoast husband complaining that his henpecking wife bonked him with a rolling pin. Well... he might actually know all about that!
on answer 2.... he wants to win over the male vote. They have called her base (on the "progressive" airwaves) the "Archie Bunker" vote... He thinks he needs to corner that sector somehow - esp after his foot in mouth comments recently and given some of those states left to vote. PA, KY, IN...etc.
They (Axelrod's Industrial Light & Magic Team) have likely poll tested it to think it's worth the gamble to use sexist imagery and framing to try to reel that demographic in.
I think it'll backfire.
Hillary is countering (paraphrasing) 'who's throwing the kitchen sink now?' "Wimpy?"
That "elbowing back" crap is a futile, too-late, badly-framed attempt to look tough. Sorry, the softie, sensitive and I-can't-take-it-anymore image is out of the tube - and it will ride through the GE if the SuperDs don't find the nerve to field the real winner.

Who's Using the Republican Attack Playbook?
by Peter Daou 4/19/2008
One of the enduring myths of the Democratic primary campaign is that Hillary has been "throwing the kitchen sink" at Senator Obama while he runs a hopeful, unifying campaign. As I wrote in a blog post recently, the reality is that Sen. Obama and his top officials have been throwing the sink, the stove, the plates and the garbage can at Hillary.
Whether you've been following this race closely or you just tuned in, see if you can figure out who's been using the Republican attack playbook.

constantly amazed at how the MSM protects O! and can only conclude what many have here and elsewhere. They are setting him and the Dems up for a colossal fall in the GE. As for O! supporters, I can sympathize with being devoted to your candidate. Devotion should be based on the facts though, and it is the vehement denial so many O! supporters are living in that truly shocks me.They will blame Hillary no matter how this pans out. Even if he wins, which I think completely unlikely, they will say he would have won by more without Hillary... it will never end.
It is just embarassing to hear him carry on like this. Can you imagine what would happen if Hillary complained like that? Why are people who don't want O! racist but you rarely if ever see the word misogynist thrown at O! supporters? If you say Hillary's being mistreated because she is a woman you are laughed at and demeaned as "making excuses" but so many accept all this "you're racist" BS without question if you criticize O!
Sorry for covering well worn ground here. I am going nuts waiting for Tuesday.
