Pennsylvania Primary Prediction Thread

What's your prediction for today?

I'll lead off: Clinton by eight percentage points and about 160,000 votes, reducing the popular vote margin to just over half a million, not counting Michigan and Florida. There will be endless discussions among the punditocracy about whether or not the margin is big enough to keep Clinton in the race. Clinton will claim a resounding victory in a key state and vows to go all the way through June 3 and beyond.

...by 35%, she will be declared the loser because she didn't win by 40%. Calls for her to drop out so the king can take the throne...oops, I mean for "the good of the party"....will intensify. What do PA voters know anyway? They're just a bunch of bitter no account racists. :P

Last night, for no apparent reason, my husband woke me up and said, "So. Would Hillary run as an independent?"

Uh. Wha? Did you honestly wake me up to ask that question? I said, "Um. No."

Weird.

I predict nothing after a weird night like that. Because when my husband lies awake thinking about such things, well, that means that the world has shifted far into another dimension. And I'm not sure where I am. ;-)

I'll go so far as to be HOPEful and predict an 11% win by HRC. That would certainly CHANGE the dynamics of the discussion and the race and she could then tell the meanies (particularly Cafferty, KO, and Matthews) to stick it far from the light of day.

Prediction. Not big on predictions...especially numbers. So...

Hillary will win PA handily...that's a safe word...handily.

Again....O! can't close the deal even with 4 strikes now.

For the next three weeks to IN the pin head pundits will choke on their lemons. The O-Bots will continue to squeal like piggies stuck under a gate....it's all "Hillary's fault!" O! will become more and more p*ssy. Hillary will be accused by those playing dumb of striking fear into the electorate.....and wanting to start WWIII. The Super-D's who have already committed to him will be wringing their hands and sweating bullets in the back room. Howie will become more testy. Donna Brazile is due to blow a cork again anytime now. While...

Hillary forges ahead one state at a time. Lobbying to get those MI and FL votes counted and working on the Super-D's who are left to decide. Oh...and continuing to take advantage of the gifts she is handed by a novice....as she should. Steady as she goes. ;)

That sound about right?

The dems are coming out of the woodwork... never knew any dems in my precinct and the line was out the door first thing this morning... ALL DEMS.

Working on someone right now who hasn't voted yet who is worried Hillary isn't electable but who likes Hillary way more than O.

We learn. We change. That's progress. If we don't do that, well, we're GWB.

she's a fighter, shortie. Tell them she has 35 Flagship Officers who will help her win this thing cuz they know we NEED her and she is the best qualified for the job.

Tell them Wes says, "This is no time for amateurs."

Not to know you had any Dems around leads me to believe you're not in Philly. Does this Dem turnout in your area bode well for Hillary?

I'm about 99 44/100% sure that Shortie is in the Philly area.

I'm in Delaware County which is part of the Philly area. Delaware County has been staunchly Republican in the past but is slowly turning Dem.

I'm going conservative and saying Hillary by 7%...

Because they're all saying too close to call after polls closed...

richsezclark4prez's picture
Submitted by richsezclark4prez on April 22, 2008 - 8:00pm.

Brad from BradBlog was SHOCKED! SHOCKED! that the talking heads are all "too close to call" because the exit polls are so whack and they're actually going to have to COUNT the votes before making any predictions. But on these touch-screen machines (over 80% of precincts use in PA) there is NO verifiable way to confirm the voters' intent: they just have to read the memory cards! So what's the hold-up?

See www.BradBlog.com for Voter Horror Stories from PA

Funny about the "too close to call". As I recall, there were several states where the CorporoMedia called it as soon as the polls closed (mostly for O!) even with 0% reporting. How about THAT?

I can't tell you how happy I am that my 8-point predicted margin was wrong! We were sitting on my number for most of the night 'til the last 30% or so of the vote came in.
