I just listened in, along with three thousand others, to the HC conference call. I can't do it right now, but I will try to write more about it tonight, unless one of you gets to it first. Just a couple of quick points. Hillary sounded buoyant, determined, confident, and grateful. If any of us haven't maxed out, and it's at all possible to do so, do it asap, and try to steer others to HC's website. But any donation, no matter how small, is much appreciated! 60K new donors since last night, for over 10 million!
Gotta run.
OK, I'd like to add a few pertinent items now. Jonathon from the campaign outlined the details of the PA victory, which I think everyone is familiar with at this point. This, in spite of being massively outspent. He encouraged everyone to visit Hillary's website and encourage others to visit her website, to keep up with campaign developments and events. Terry McAuliffe went over the numbers, e.g. Hillary's victories total 285 electoral votes, while Obama's total 190. The popular vote, including Michigan and Florida puts Hillary ahead by 122K. (I haven't checked these numbers; he emphasized, regarding MI and FL, that these are the real, legal votes of real people).
Hillary, as I mentioned earlier, was very grateful, and seemed genuinely touched by the outpouring of support, energized, yet level-headed, and focussed on the task at hand. She stated emphatically that we're not done with MI and FL, and that the delegates must be seated. She also said that campaigning, while exhausting, has been the most amazing and illuminating experience, and encouraged any and all who are able to get out and work for the campaign, saying that you will meet amazing people and have experiences like none other. She then told the story of Donna, who introduced her at the Indianapolis rally today. She's a single mom with three kids, who was a Republican until recently, and had never given money or worked on a campaign. Until now. She went to Ohio to help with the campaign, and now gives up her lunch hour to work for the campaign, and gives $20 a month from a rather meager income. She says she's doing it for her kids. Hillary seemed quite moved as she related this, and again said that it's these kind of experiences and people that keep her going.
Hillary and her campaign team are determined, and ready to go to work!
Now, that's a news story - which of course won't get any coverage.
That's ok, we're used to it - and we know it's a big deal. So, I will sit back and smile knowing that thousands of voters are finally getting it. :)

You may tread me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise." - Maya Angelou

It got pretty good coverage on MSNBC today.

Clinton uses victory to raise cash
Apr 23 - Just hours after her big win in the Pennsylvania primary, Hillary Clinton is raking in the campaign cash.
