Syria Airstrike: let me get this straight...

Here's how I heard the "news" regarding the Israeli airstrike on some target in Syria.
1. Israeli intelligence gets wind of a "nuclear facility" being built in Syria with the aid of North Korea and bombs SOMETHING.
2. Israel, Syria, the US and the greater Middle East have "no comment" when the alleged bombing occurred.
3. MONTHS LATER the US releases satellite photos of alleged "nuclear installation" but there are no guard houses, fences or any other security around its perimeter. There is no evidence of any cooling pools built or being built around the installation, either. Nuclear energy is water-intensive.
4. US shows some grainy video showing some oriental "scientists" alleged to be North Koreans in alleged said "nuclear installation" working (allegedly) on "weapons grade enrichment programs".
5. Recent satellite photos of the alleged site of the allegedly bombed said "nuclear installation" looks exactly the same as before alleged air strike (they rebuilt an EXACT REPLICA of the building on the exact foundation footprint- in SIX MONTHS!! In SYRIA!!!).
6. No trace of ANY nuclear fallout can be measured near the alleged site other than normal background radiation.
7. Of course NONE of the governments' claims can be verified because they blew it up real good.
Color me cynical but does this not smell of those so-called "mobile chemical weapons labs" Saddam ALLEGEDLY had that Colin Powell showed the world at the UN using years-old satellite photos?

I remember reading about it at the time. Don't recall whether I saw anything in the mainstream media tho.
I suspect there really was some sort of facility that would eventually house a nuclear reactor of some sort. Sucks that we can no longer believe what our government tells us about it.

Israel reportedly has agreed to withdraw from the Golan Heights as part of a peace deal with Syria.
Shams-Press, a semi-official Syrian news Web site, reported Wednesday that Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert agreed in principle to a Turkish plan for renewed peace talks between Jerusalem and Syria.
The negotiations, according to Shams-Press, would be predicated on Israel's willingness to return the Golan to Syria.
