If you have other Sunday Talkie shows' guest lists we don't have, please share below. Post your comments while you watch! It's fun, it's healthy and doggonit at least we'll know others can also see through the media manipulation that blankets our public airwaves. DEBUNK HERE!

So, with no further ado, I present to you This Week's Brick TeeVee entry!

ALL LINKS OPEN A NEW WINDOW!!!

With Pennsylvania in the rear-view mirror and Indiana and North Carolina coming right up we've got more surrogates than you can shake a beef stick at! The undercard features EVAN BAYH vs. TOM DASCHLE & ARTUR DAVIS vs. SHEILA JACKSON LEE on This Snuffagopolis. Then, DNC's HOWARD DEAN will once again tell us the Dem delegate situation will all be fine by June on Meet the Tim. Switch over to U-Boat Captain Blitzer for more undercard bouts, featuring FEINSTEIN vs. HOEKSTRA & MCKASKILL vs. SCHUMER plus SUSAN RICE vs. JAMIE RUBIN (yes THAT Jamie Rubin- chief foreign policy spokesman for General Wesley Clark's presidential campaign). The BIG MATCH will be on Face the Bob with Obama Cheif Strategist DAVID AXLEROD vs. Clinton Communications Director HOWARD WOLFSON. OBAMA will then solo on FAKE NEWS. Interestingly, the White House Limo remains parked, even after the Administration's announcement this week that Syria had a Nuclear facility and they're promoting top Iraq commander Army Gen. David Petraeus to head CENTCOM. Save all your bricks for SCALIA on 60 Minutes! Gasoline prices hit a record high in the US and talk of a POSSIBLE worldwide food shortage has sparked commodity speculators to bid up rice and wheat and food riots break out (see U.S.NEWS How Countries Worsen the Food Price Crisis). Basically it's a BIG "NO COMMENT" from the WH. Stay sane and turn up the radio for Sam Seder, Eric Massa and Ring of Fire Radio. The Brick TeeVee Crew worked BIG OVERTIME last weekend, flying to Baltimore, then driving over 500 miles moving servers for a customer in Charleston and flying home from there. We didn't realize it, but we had all kinds of little bottles of aftershave, shampoo, tooth paste and all kinds of things Homeland Security's privatized crack airport screeners didn't even blink an eye at, TWICE! HAHA! At least the Charleston Airport had SHOE HORNS!

for truly fair and objective journalism in my opinion!

Nobody is perfect but Howard Kurtz in my opinion is the best reporter I have seen these days who is credible, who cuts through all of the spin from everyone, and who truly calls things right down the middle:

http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/reliable.sources/

AIRS: 10-11 a.m. ET Sunday

Reliable Sources

Now more than ever, the press is a part of every story it covers. And CNN's "Reliable Sources" is one of television's only regular programs to examine how journalists do their jobs and how the media affect the stories they cover. Host Howard Kurtz of The Washington Post is the nation's premier media critic, and each week he questions print reporters, television correspondents and Internet bloggers about how the press is covering the major stories of the week.

Host Howard Kurtz turns a critical lens on the media in this weekly CNN podcast.

Not only is he a PUTZ but he's a shill of the WORST KIND.
Remember who signs his paychecks.

Some examples:

What Howard Kurtz means by "media scrutiny"

Howie Kurtz, Shailagh Murray, and the vapid, petty Beltway media mind

Howard Kurtz's fear of facts

Howard Kurtz speaks on Jose Padilla: just some leg shackles for the Dirty Bomber

This is PRECISELY why Kurtz is not listed in the Brick TeeVee lineup, as is the case with the The Chris Matthews Show and a few others. Ever listen to National Petroleum Radio's "On the Media" on Saturday afternoons? It's mostly the same garbage, the PAID FOR CORPORATE media pretending to watchdog itself. We've seen plenty more examples these last years of industries policing themselves. One that comes immediately to mind is the FDA. How's that worked out?

It's no wonder Reporters Without Borders ranks the US 48th!

Howard Kurtz on Obama's "easy ride" & will the press "provide tougher scrutiny?"

Submitted by Mitch Dworkin on January 7, 2008 - 2:44am.

I have said that no journalist is perfect but Howard Kurtz ranks very high up there in my opinion!

Beside Dan Abrams who occasionally says some of the same things, who else in the mainstream media can you think of who on a regular basis is BOTH seriously scrutinizing Obama as well as being critical of those in the media who are giving him a free ride?

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day Mitch.

I find it interesting that you base Kurtz's "unbiasedness" purely on Kurtz's reporting on Obama and how the media reports on Obama.

Fact is, the Corporate Media directs the conversation. The media right now is complicit in fogging the debate on global warming. Heck, even a recent Dem debate was "Brought to you by 'Clean Coal' ", when in fact any semblance of effective "clean coal" technology is years, decades away. Same can be said of all the Big Oil "touchy-feely" commercials that run during the Sunday talkies. Ever see a Boeing commercial that claims to be "keeping us safe"? Or how about ones for deep sea oil rigs? NO counterpoint ads are EVER run.

Check Mother Jones Magazine for some good reporting. Also, read some of Noam Chomsky on the media. Watch Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and the Media. Also, watch Democracy NOW and LINK-TV.

To each his own, Mitch. I myself would take anything Kurtz says with a big grain of salt. I'm quite skeptical of ANYONE on Corporopress, not just Kurtz.

Love Russert's spinning head. It reminds me of the post by a Clarkie in 2004 of Russert's wagging head repeating over and over: "Clinton's penis! Clinton's penis!" Anyone remember it? It was so funny!

I love my Brick Teevee, too!! You were missed last week, but I'm glad you got the chance to make mucho deniro (sp?)! Heaven knows we ought to be ponying up for our weekly, beloved Brick TeeVee! but we're too cheap! LOL!! But hey! I hear if O! wins the nomination, there's a pony for every child! Unfortunately for all those pony lovers, I don't think it's in the cards.
