The GOP Happy Dog

Note: I am doing the cartoons for the NoQuarter blog under my family nickname (Pat) and my husband's last name (Racimora). I thought some of you here might enjoy them as well.
Here's the story behind the cartoon.
First, Rev. Wright is "family" that Obama could no more disown than he could disown the Black community. The dog just popped into my head as Obama tossed Wright into the cold after he resurfaced with rhetoric that was pretty much the same crazy stuff. I could feel Rove's smile.
Oh, delicious--to the Republicans. Poor Obama is not anywhere near ready for primetime.
You've been keeping this talent hidden from us!
I love your cartoon.

I hadn't done any cartooning for years and years. But I kept my pens. And when I began to get SO frustrated with what is going on with this primary, I pulled them out of storage. Then it was like opening a floodgate. I can't keep up with what pops into my head.
I will share some of the others....

Cute as a button...keep um' commin' !!!!

Once you get an idea for a cartoon in your head, how long does it take to produce one?
Are negotiations for syndication in the works?

About a half hour to sketch, 15 minutes to pen, and a scan into the computer for some Photoshop fill-ins. All together about an hour each (depending on how complicated). GOP Dog took only about a half hour from start to finish.
Ha--I am just having fun here and letting off a lot of built-up steam. No $ involved. It's therapy.
I've seen all that you've posted on NoQuarter and they are spot on! What a talent to have.

I saw some of them over at No Quarter and was very impressed.
Loved the candy store one
;)

Who knew? Thanks for sharing this little unknown piece of yourself, Tricia! Love it!
Once in a while you get shown the light, In the strangest of places if you look at it right.
Can't wait to see the others- You are a talent!
Tricia, YHM (via the site) ...
I'm leaving the country soon here, but just left you a message with an email addy of someone who wants to help out in letter writing for Hillary!
Thanks-
Tricia, you show great promise as a political cartoonist. This cartoon and those posted on No Quarter really depict graphically the question of the electability of Obama due to the many questionable characters who have been his close associates over the years. One can only wonder what more will surface as we move toward the election. You can only guess at what an arsenal of dirty tricks must be building up by the Repubs to be unleashed if Obama becomes the Dem nominee.
