A Dose Of Wisdom, A Dose Of Reason

This, from Hillary's website. It's in a letter from swing state Democrats to other Democrats. I hope the super d's can understand.

Pennsylvania was not just a victory for Hillary Clinton. It was also a wake- up call for superdelegates, forcing us to ask ourselves two essential questions: 1) Which candidate can carry the magic 270 electoral votes to win in the fall? 2) Which candidate is most likely to help our fellow Democrats in down-ballot races? We believe the answer to both of these questions is Hillary Clinton.

I just got it via the Rapid Responders.

My favorite part:

Hillary has shown she can win the all-important battleground states like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida even while being outspent. This speaks to her ability to connect with voters we must deliver in the fall, including blue collar Democrats who can sway this election as they have in the past.

These are the people that Donna Brazile and others want to dismiss. Yet... these are the people that come out in droves for Hillary, because she's the only candidate who truly speaks for them.

Wes Clark Democrats...let the Clinton campaign know who sent you

....are being threatened.

There was a comment on GD the other night about a SuperD in VA who was threatened with a Primary challenger by none other than Gov. Kaine, if he didn't tow the line and get behind O

I've noticed a disturbing pattern with O in his willingness to use strong arm tactics.....and who would have ever thought Tim Kaine would be that way?

This election has certainly opened MY eyes to a lot of Dems I have previously admired

Warms my heart. Feels like home on the sandy and tree lined shores of Lake Michigan. Sigh. Brings a tear t'the eye, it does.

(Warning: The above post contains snark and plenty of it.)

Following is a text of a letter I just sent to the DNC. I came very close to leaving the Democratic party, but Wes Clark changed that--until now. How can the media keep up this hand-wringing that superdelegates will somehow negate the will of the people, when the actions of party leaders to suppress the votes of Democrats in Florida and Michigan do just that? Once,Wes Clark made me feel good about America again. Howard Dean, the DNC, and the media have erased that and left me feeling very bitter.

"I am a Florida Democrat who will very likely re-register as an Independent based on the despicable machinations of party leaders. Four states besides Michigan and Florida moved their primaries up and received no penalty. In Florida we turned out in record numbers, and our delegates should be seated based on our election results. Instead, the party leadership is saying that both the Obama and Clinton campaigns must agree on a plan for distributing the delegates. There is nothing to negotiate. We have bonafide election results. Use them! The media is jumping all over the fact the the nomination may be decided by Superdelegates, which many are interpreting as a method of overriding the popular vote. Isn't the party's refusal to accept the results of our election the same type of "backroom" manipulation? Frankly, neither Obama or Clinton were my first choice. The nasty, misogynistic treatment of Clinton has driven me to stand in solidarity with a woman who, quite frankly, is being punished because she has learned to play with the big boys.It is very easy to see an anti-Clinton bias in the actions of the party leaders and the press. Women have long been Democratic Party stalwarts, but by continuing in this fashion, the party will lose thousands of women supporters and will be permanently damaged. Many men who are moderates are also fed up with a party whose leaders appear to be more concerned about securing their personal agenda and power instead of truly supporting a democratic process in this country. Forgive me for retaining some shred of idealism, but presidential elections are supposed to be about citizens choosing the leader that will be best for the country as a whole, not for a certain segment of a political party. If I don't see a major change in the attitude of the Democratic Party leadership, you will receive my torn up voter registration card as evidence that I have left the party for good!"

From California? ( I can't remember his name). So far not backing anyone in the race. But he was willing to sell his vote for 20 million dollars? Disgusting.
