Serve With Me -- Vote Now!

I hope you'll participate in a contest launched by WesPAC and Democrats Work to determine which Congressional District I will visit this summer. Click here to cast your vote today!

Today, the WesPAC and Democrats Work communities are launching a contest to determine which Congressional District I am going to visit this summer.

This won't be an ordinary visit. I will travel to one Congressional District where a Democratic challenger is fighting to change the direction of our country to work side-by-side with area Democrats to make a positive impact through community service. We want you to tell us where we should put our values into action.

You can cast your vote here:
http://democratswork.org/index.php?page=display&id=140&clark=1

For 34 years, I was proud to serve my country in the United States Army. Service is a cornerstone upon which our country was built. It is central to what makes America great.

That's why I'm excited about joining Democrats Work on this project. We're ready to bring a service project to a community near you. But it can only be successful if we hear from you.

Vote to bring me to your district. Or vote to send me to a district where you want Democrats to roll up their sleeves at a community service project. We'll invite the Democratic challenger for Congress and his or her supporters and all of you who vote for the winning district to join me at the service event. And we will show everyone how Democrats gets things done.

Cast your vote here:
http://democratswork.org/index.php?page=display&id=140&clark=1

Democrats Work has helped spread a new politics of service across the country, mobilizing thousands of Democrats at more than 80 service events cleaning up neighborhoods and parks, supporting our troops, caring for veterans, working at food banks, and planting trees. Many of you helped make that happen.

The first round of voting will only last until Friday, May 30th, so get your vote in today. Only the top five vote-getters will move on to the final round!

Cast your vote today to bring that same spirit of service to a great part of our country. I'm looking forward to serving with you this summer.

Sincerely,

Wes Clark

P.S.This morning, Senator Jim Webb's New GI Bill passed in the Senate. This is great news for our veterans, who deserve the education benefits they were promised. Thank you so much for your help in passing this critical piece of legislation!

but, since I live in California.....;-) And Charlie's a really good guy - and his opponent is a revolting creep.

Then again - had a lot of fun during Jill's campaign in 2006 too. And we really need to get her brain into congress!

NY 29th - Eric Massa

He almost pulled it off last year and he is looking stronger than ever right now. Let's make sure this district turns blue in '08.

I voted for Eric also. Although I thought of Russ Warner in CA-21. He lost in the primary last election and the person who defeated him went no where.

I voted for Eric Massa, too. Sure hopes he gets it this time.

Ready to go, again, General? LOL!!

I'm voting for Jill Derby - NV02! She almost beat Heller last time, with your help! I'm voting to send you back to Reno and I know she'll win it this time!

Massa is more than deserving, too so I hope he gets enough votes to make the cut! But since I only get one vote, I'm rootin' for the hometown girl!

Darcy Burner got my vote.

Yes. I was being a little selfish. But General Wes really does need to get out more. And the Pacific Northwest is positively beautiful in the summertime. Especially the Seattle area.

Not too selfish. This is not my District...I'm on the East side of the state. But it was my District for years so I know it well. Just the kind of District that would relate to Wes. Darcy is a great candidate and I would really like to see her take that seat this time around.

So...come West, General Wes. Pacific Northwest. :D

I voted for Mary Jo Kilroy, OH-15... my home district. I volunteered with her campaign in 2006 and will do it again this year. How fantastic would it be if the General paid a visit to us here in Central Ohio! I've told all my friends to vote for her on the site, and put it on my facebook page. :)

We don't get much of a chance for a Dem here in Madison County do we ? It was close with Deborah Pryce last time they had to do a recount but she's not running so she should pick this seat from the GOP! .

I do NOT want Steve Stivers to be my Rep. I had a run in with him last summer at the Dublin 4th of July parade. An Iraq veteran was handing out "End the Iraq War" signs and mad4clark and I each took one. Steve Stivers was in the parade and was talking to onlookers and waving, saying things like "Nice to see you", etc. When he looked at me, he said "Wish you were still there". My husband and I stared at him, flabbergasted. What a freaking jerk. Mary Jo has to win!

This is exactly the kind of work Democrats need to be doing. Real work that represents our values and sets an example to others about what Democrats stand for, and once again General Clark is leading the way by example.

I am open to suggestions about who to vote for. I know there are many deserving Democrats out there, and many communities in need. I know Eric Massa would be a good choice, but I want to hear about others. So, if others have a favorite please state your case!

I would also like whoever our Presidential nominee ultimately is to promote community service both before and after the election. It ought to be a major part of our campaign for change. If Democrats lead by example, we will win.

Many deserving candidates and districts here in Ohio and elsewhere, but my future is in western NY, as we will be moving there sometime in the near future.

And I really, really like Eric. :)

I met Eric in 2005 in Little Rock and he is a very nice person who I was very impressed with!

Eric came very close in 2006 against Randy "Rubber Stamp" Kuhl and in my opinion he deserves the extra support right now to hopefully get rid of Kuhl in November!

Victoria Wuslin got my vote- long past time to get rid of Mean Jean Schmidt - what a blight on the nation that one is!

What area are you moving to, Susan? We are moving to Lock Haven so maybe we can make plans to meet halway & visit the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania togther or something. This region of PA is also supposed to be the best star gazing corridor on the Eastern seaboard due to lack of light pollution.

Would love to see you again - been a long time since Little Rock!

I voted for Betsy Markey, CO-04, against the ridiculous Marilyn Musgrave. Betsy is doing very well currently. Angie Paccione (WesPAC-endorsed) almost took it last time (44-46%), when a third-party candidate got 12% of the vote.

Eric gets my vote; he's been working so hard. I'd love to see him turn that district!

We want Wes Clark to come to the MI 7th congressional district, to support Mark Schauer. The Lansing City Pulse calls him the "Energizer Bunny". Out of the starting gate he is poling even with the incumbent, and also out fund raising him. We can insure Mark can win this election with a little help from a friend!

Lets give the "Energiser Bunny" a charge !

This was a hard one for me because my heart is so with Eric but...I voted for Bob Roggio in PA's 6th District. My sister lives there and she has been dying to get rid of their current Rep. Jim Gerlach for years. Lois Murphy, who she was a big supporter of, came THISCLOSE to winning twice but didn't prevail.

Also, my sister has a couple of little kids who have been major General Wes supporters since his run for the Presidency. They've even made brownies using Wes' Aunt Rosalee's recipe and brought them to him a few times. They would be so excited to get a chance to work with the General.

So, if anyone's looking for someone to vote for, I'm putting forward Bob Roggio, PA's District 6. :)

the only candidate I've met is Eric Massa (at 2005 CCN convention). Happy to vote for him--but maybe there is someone else who could win with the General's help???
The General gets it right.
