DailyKos | economy | vice president | vision | Wes Clark | Wesley Clark
Just realizing that this is the moment for Clarkies to bring more attention to Clark once again in the blogosphere if possible. He was pre-empted by the news on Tim Russert the other night, when he seemed likely to get a lot of coverage over his attack on McCain, but there are many things people don't realize about Clark and I'm hoping my focus on his 100-year-plan will attract viewers.
"Now" is Wednesday, June 18, 10:30 western time.
Yes. It's not doing as well as I'd hoped --- I suppose it's been spotted for being a Clark supporter thing. I have just always really liked Clark's 100-year vision --- the fact that any candidate would think like that --- and hoped that some others would be curious, too.
I love the way it emphasizes the broad vision of General Clark and pictures McCain's narrow view of the United States. McCain seems to be a perfect caricature of more of the same. More wars, more politics, business as usual if McCain is elected.
After hearing Clark in 2003 and reading about his vision and hope for America, I became a part of his presidential campain for 2004. He is the first candidate I ever supported financially, and he is the last. He should be president, but if not, I hope he will be in the most senior position in the next administration. He's one of the few people I believe will work hard for the country and do something to clean up the horrible mess created by George W. Bush.
By the way, I watched Al Gore endorse Obama the other night. The best thing about Gore, to me, is that he is a constant reminder of what could have been had he been elected president. In that respect, he emphasizes and illustrates the failure of the current administration.
Especially the theme of the two different 100-year plans--that was a great idea! And wouldn't that be an interesting compare-and-contrast exercise for Wes to bring up in a debate with whoever McCain's running mate will be? :)

Thanks, CatherineD.
