Things We Can All Agree On: Helping WesPAC Endorsed Candidates Get Elected!

At the risk of repeating myself...

For everyone looking for something to agree on - How about agreeing to help the congressional races to get a VETO-PROOF MAJORITY.

Please - I'm dead serious...pick a candidate , also this one, and this one, and :

1. Phonebank for them
2. Canvass for them
3. Write letters to voters for them
4. Write letters to the editor for them
5. Have a House Party for them
6. Have a big fundraiser for them - no better time than the summer!
7. Do visibilty things like put a bumpersticker on your car, get a yard sign, hold up a sign on a busy street corner, or at a mall, or a holiday event
8. If you have money available - donate to them

There're eight things any one of us can do for a candidate that will make a noticeable difference. You all know what to do - this isn't your first dance ;-)

Thanks!

on CCN. Talk about what we're doing to help these candidates, and thereby support Wes.

See? Yet another thing I suspect we can all agree on.

#9 - talking:

my pick

I 'adopted' this one, in '06...

...and have grown even more enthusiastic about him since. I have supported Charlie Brown to the extent that I am able, given restraints of distance and limited funds.

Doing great, but now up against the wealthy carpetbagger-Republican, Tom McClintock, Charlie will need all the help he can get if we want that seat, long held by the dastardly-doolittle, in district 04.

He's a very good man, that Charlie Brown!

Link gives maps and election results for the district 04.  Note that the Cook PVI rating is Republican+11

The PVI Index is explained here:

I have adopted this race (not that I have done anything yet!)

Russ Warner was the Wespac approved candidate in the primary last year but lost.  This year he won the primary, but will have a tough fight against Dave Drier.  The PVI for the district is R+4. It will be an uphill battle as Dave Drier is one of those Republicans who appears reasonable but he is another Bush rubber stamp.

I agree, he needs to go. I supported Warner a little in the last primary too, but I was slightly better funded at the time than I am now.

one of the reasons I've grown so enthusiastic about Charlie Brown (aside from his being a pal of Wes') :

"...That's why in this campaign we will not wait until January of 2009 to make a difference. We're going to lead by example, by giving 5% of every dollar raised between now and election day to charities that serve veterans and families in need-here in the 4th District, and across the country..."

But we're not stopping there. I'm calling on every candidate in any party, running for every level of elected office, to do much more than just say they "support our troops," by joining us in this effort to truly "leave no veteran behind."

money where mouth is - contributing to Charlie seems my best bang for the buck!
