It's time to let General Clark know how much
we appreciate his dawn to dusk work this week,
using straight talk to draw attention to National Security issues, and to counter the attempts to "swiftboat" his words. Thank you Wes for speaking up, speaking out and not giving up. Let's all give a little something as we can for the continuation of WesPAC and keeping Wes's voice out there.

Update: By the end of our fund drive, midnight CDT, July 7, 2008, we had 40 fantastic fanatics for Wes who gave money and recorded their donation here. The drive was also the subject of a KOS diary, several Yahoo group blogs, and the subject of at least one state (Ohio) group mass email, so I'm sure people gave without posting here. We also sent Wes hugs, gratitude, and offers to "beat the living shit" out of anybody who questions the man's patriotism, brilliance, and sheer determination. (Well, those are just the traits I'm admiring today.)
I hope we also , by doing this, were able to let General Clark know how grateful we are to him for all he does for our country.

It's clear to my husband and me that Wes was the victim of a Rovian strategy that was set to be thrown in motion whenever anyone gave the McCain campaign an opening, and the same thing will be attempted against anyone else who questions whether McCain's service career is relevant preparation for the Presidency. Most of the MSM reporting overlooked that Wes was responding to a question! It took a few days, but some of the MSM seems to be realizing that they've been "had," that any efort to discuss McCain's true qualifications will be met with a barrage of attempts to change the subject with Swiftboating accusations.
On Monday, as the flak started flying, we donated to the Obama campaign thru the link sent by Wes, and to WesPac, to show the Obama campaign, as well as WesPac, that we are behind Wes.
