"I'm serious, GO HUG A REPUBLICAN and help him vote our way, and let's change this country starting in 2008, right here in Harris County. Ladies and gentleman, you, we, can do this. We can do it." - Gen. Wesley Clark, Oct 04, 2008

For a retired General to say "We're no better than our own sense of humility." is very powerful, it’s like praying to St. Michael.
Know your enemy… It’s not only applied to warfare but in daily life as well, and in politics for sure. It seems like we have to cross the Atlantic Wall…
I have to re-listen to everything again especially the part when he talks about division and how it’s all about talks…
Thanks for the audio, I was able to listen to the second part since the second video was very slow.
... and Obama reads books. I had to chuckle when I heard that from the other video and now that is stuck in my mind when I think about Obama.

That's the gem I picked out of this wonderful speech from many such gems. I especially loved his litany of bad ideas adopted by the current administration.
We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Ruth for the original find in the GD. Thanks, Mary, for making it a separate blog (which I was going to do). It deserves that status for posterity.
This is a great, great speech, and the YouTube quality is very good, both the video and audio.
I've made a single audio file of the whole thing. It's 13.07 MB big, and you can download it here for another 14 days and for up to 200 downloads.
