Perhaps you'd rather he go down in history in a cartoon in a dunce cap?
Please explain where you are coming from on this. Do you think Wes was wrong for what he said about McCain? Or do you believe that Wes wasn't deeply hurt by the aftermath? I don't get where you're coming from.
We learn. We change. That's progress. If we don't do that, well, we're GWB.

everything and everyone must now be sacrificed for the glory of The One. Wes is only as good as his usefulness to the greater purpose of The One.

Just stop insulting me and the other people who are still willing to stand up for Wes on his own site.

Since you asked...This quote does not lift people up, bring people together or make the world a better place. There are many, many, wonderful, inspiring quotes to choose from. This isn't one. But you know that.
As far as that right-wing cartoon goes, I get just a little sick of hearing from McCain supporters on Wes's site. This cartoon is just one example of what the right-wing thinks of Wes. They mock him and lie about him. This is still a free world (sort of) and if anyone wants to support the right-wing in spite of how they treat Wes then fine. But not here.
If you don't make people accountable for their actions or inactions, they'll keep making the easy, selfish, and cowardly decisions.
Sometimes people need a lot of help to grow a backbone.

I was aware of this. Hillary will be returning "Home."
There's only a small chance I'll be downtown Scranton for that wonderful visit. Hillary & Bill Clinton and Joe Biden... Just add Wes Clark to that team and it would be a dream team.
My Father-In-Law is battling Cancer right now. My husband stayed overnight at his parents house last night. He still didn't get home. I'm probably going to stay home with my husband. I need to be by his side. Now, if my husband decides to go see Hillary - that would be GREAT!!! I have a feeling that he will want to relax and watch some NFL games to take his mind off of everything (at least try to do so).
Thanks again for the "Heads Up" on The Clintons Visit. What a much better situation we would be in if Hillary was our Presidential Candidate. Someone who really is knowlegeable enough to fix the mess we're in. I'm sure there are MANY people throughout the Country who are kicking themselves for voting for BO in the caucuses/primaries.
WE NEED ****WES & THE CLINTONS!!!!!!!
Are you going to tomorrow's rally? If yes, please post a blog on it. Thanks.

So sorry to hear about your FIL's illness, but sending lots of white light your way.
I'm about three hours away & opted against making the trip- I only got a chance to see Bill Clinton on the stump & not Hillary- saw Biden once in Archbald! heh -& didn't get to see Hillary live on her own, except on a panel in Chicago, before the made men stepped in. But to spend the $$$ & time to then have to hear about Obama- not so much, you know. My mom & friends will be there to see Hillary. It's fun to think of Hillary & Biden having close ties to the area.
They're trying to give me a heart attack.
We learn. We change. That's progress. If we don't do that, well, we're GWB.

Go Phillies.
Proud to be an American.
I am concerned that the root problem to our economic situation has yet to be discussed. To have a working global economy the whole world needs to be using the same mathematical equations too; so we can define real global worth!!!!
Next, American Politicians need to address our credit system. We need to have collateral plus dependable income to responsibly use credit cards. Companies like Visa, Master Card, Discover, etc… are bottom feeders. They handout credit cards to every 18 year old adult like it is REAL money. These brand new adults do not even need to have a job to get a credit card issued to them!!! My daughter is one of those 18 year olds that got caught up in this mess although she was advised not to believe their scams.
I know for a fact that some Americans, who have paid faithfully every month on their credit cards for years, are now being hit with double [ or more ] the original interest rates by these credit card companies with the only reasoning given being: "...Circumstances beyond our control." We must curtail the idea that credit card issuing businesses can have open ended interest policies or we will be at the mercy of VISA, MASTER CARD, ETC….
The rights and freedom of every American are on the line. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that All [People] MEN are created equal…” These liberties must apply to all; this includes aliens coming over the boarder. AMNESTY!!! We should not have slave labor. Make everyone in The United States [Americans] who pay taxes and our debt will disappear overnight. Do not worry how much it will cost me {and every other citizen} to start this program, Paulson can fix it right up!
Human beings are our greatest resource. We are not individually replaceable and mothers should not be taken away from their children because the child was born in America making them Americans, while the mother is pursued as a criminal and deported!!!!! Liberty is the right of all humans to be counted as worthwhile and indispensable.
Lastly, we need to take that $5000 med credit that McCain talks about and give it to Americans as an educational investment BAILOUT -[Guaranty Vacations to every American household once a year to countries outside our United States]-!!!
If our enemies see us as humans that will behave as the people on flight 93, the "Terrorists" will plead with our government to send our military back because they cannot fight against an idea with a very human face.
Thank you sir for your valuable time. God Bless America!!!!!!!!!
Sincerely; a Computer Engineer of Electronic Technologies in Indiana
It just seems to have died with about 10 minutes left.

I tried at about that point, and nothing happened.
But you can watch the six parts of the debate here.

“Governor Palin knowingly permitted a situation to continue where impermissible pressure was placed on several subordinates in order to advance a personal agenda, to wit: To get Trooper Michael Wooten fired,”
For some time, I've been saying DOW 8,000 and it was hit today (twice). I had been willing to move up to 35% of my 401K/IRAs into SP500 index fund at that point, but got a bit greedy with a buy order first thing in the morning (buy SPY at 79.50 and it "only" got down to 83.xx before a sharp rebound in the morning).
Later, the DOW retreated back down to below 8,000 around 2 pm eastern, so went in with 20% at 85 (SPY). The other 15% I didn't do because it involved our company 401K and the transactions are only priced at market close - in last 40 minutes there was a big move up and it was well above my buy point there (which I may regret)
Note, history would suggest that another bottom will be reached in a few months, so I'm not considering this a long term play.
Of course, if I'm totally wrong and the market tanks further in the next week or two, well there's a lot more in reserve.
A pretty good tech article on some of these indications is here:
In particular, the RSI indicator is very good at signalling market bottoms. Generally, it oscillates between 30 (oversold) and 70 (overvalued). Today it was around 10 which is also approximately what it has been with other major market bottoms (which I spent about 20 hours looking at this week)
Action today at the open really had the 'smell' of capitulation selling
Spending this weekend looking at possible short term stock plays for Monday in case there is some positive action coming out of the G7 meetings this weekend. Filter would be stocks that started moving up today and have large cash positions with little/no debt and have potential for big returns.

THe market is closed Monday.
