but it's a picture of the owl in my care (under permits, of course) during a local Santa Barbara Botanic Garden events we named "Owloween". It took place a few years ago in the midst of the Harry Potter owl mania, and we wanted to offer it as an alternative to "Halloween", presenting real facts about owls. It was a winner.
That could make for some interesting pumpkin carving in the future. For example, a bassett hound with a carving of a bassett hound. :)
