Wesley Clark for Repower America

I think the word "change" is becoming over used. That is not a slam on anyone...to be clear. It's an easy word to use and has caught on like so many words do. But...after a while it rings hollow...like so many over used words do. I also think people hear it and think "change" will happen quickly. Like changing your socks, or changing the furniture around or changing a lightbulb or something. It reflects quickness for many. After those eight years of hell nothing is going to "change" quickly even if we would all like it to. Also to some people change is scary. It just is. Many don't adapt to change easily.
Perhaps a new word is in order. Transformation or conversion or transition. Transition is a good one. Most people get that word and it isn't so scary. This really wil be a transition anyway. Even if this matter is urgent...like so many of us know....it might be better to bring people along with a "transition". It really will be about bringing people along for the most part.
Just a thought.

I never would have guessed that on my own.
I was trying to be somewhat diplomatic about it. But let me put it this way. The "C" word has bombed. Because most people aren't feeling any of it. In my humble opinion.
Since this bit appears to be part of a new campaign to bring people along on energy....I was suggesting to General Clark that if he wanted to bring people along in this TRANSITION he might think about EXPLAINING it to others in a different way. Getting rid of the "C" word....it's lost it's shine. And I for one, to be honest, are sick of hearing it. I doubt that I'm alone. And I don't think for a minute General Clark minds me making a suggestion about it anymore than he did when I suggested he stop using the word "mistake" in regards to Iraq. Because it wasn't.

Yes, the "C" word has definitely lost it's luster out in the real world.

Are these TV spots that will be aired?
