I managed to make it home before Wes was on the show and recorded it.
Here you go........... Audio of Wes on Ed Shultz

Clark believes that recent passage of the constitutional referendum may bring Iraq "one step closer to a civil war", unless the Bush administration gets serious with dialogue and an effective policy/strategy. Clark added that the Sunnis need to be helped by Shia and Kurd, ...diplomacy, esp with Iraq's neighbors, is needed immediately.

"Debate, Dialogue, Discussion, Disagreement - that's not wrong -that's not unpatriotic, that's one of the highest forms of patriotism and love of country, and we need to say it!" - Gen. Wesley Clark (US Ret.)

"...the measure of success is not 'Can you win?' It's 'Can you get your ideas adopted?' " ~ Wes Clark

Clark adds, "You can't legitimately have a draft discussion in the middle of a war, ... not a war like this, ...that was an unecessary war, ... that we were led into by "hyped intelligence and even conspiracy."

It was great to hear the General today, and to hear Ed say that Wes is "one of our favorites here on the Ed Schultz show."

I heard the interview live (thanks for the blogmeisters for putting the post with the details of the upcoming interview on the front page) but I really appreciate you recording it for posterity!
You'd be taking them to the Better Business Bureau if you bought a washing machine the way we went into the war in Iraq. Wes Clark, CNN Aug 17 2003

Many thanks!!

I spent almost an hour fiddling with Windows Media and then couldn't get on Schultz's website, and was fit to be tied. Thank you! :)
I had to be somewhere yesterday, and missed it. Thanks to you I now have heard the interview. All of us appreciate what you do so much. Thanks.
Thanks, Ice! Couldn't have heard this interview otherwise. Wes was intelligent, articulate and oh-so-right. As usual.
The General gets it right. Competence--What a concept!
As usual, you're there to catch the best of Wes's media appearances, and this one was no exception!
Ed S said the General is one of his favorites, and that he'll be back on again...yippeeeee! :)

I know Wes is in Venice, CA with family, but where is Ed Schultz anyway? There's lots of cheering in the background, and all cheering for "The General."
