Most of the action was already competently and expertly covered by other Clark bloggers, but I would just like to add a few tidbits. Thanks to all the great Clark bloggers who wrote so eloquently about the event!!!!
Wes Clark was looking tanned, relaxed, and well rested on Tuesday. Totally on message and ready to take "The Hill" in 2006.
His influence on "The Hill" was never more apparent than on Tuesday when we heard Senators and Congressmen articulate a familiar refrain: [paraphrase] Thanks to the support of Wes Clark. WesPAC and the Clark Community, we are realizing success in tough elections. (LET THAT SPEAK VOLUMES! WE CAN DO THIS!)
WesPAC staff pulled off an outstanding event that went beyond expectations! Everyone was impressed.
It was absolutely thrilling to see Clarkies from across the country again!!!! Our Community is filled with lovely and talented "human beans." Awesome.
Trivial stuff...
Wes cut his finger on his razor, for those of you wanting to know. Also added that Wes 3.0 calls Gert "gamma" and thinks every gift he receives is from "gamma!" Calls his newest grandson "Dash." You have to hear Wes tell it...you can just see his eyes glisten when he talks about the grandkids...absolutely heartwarming.
Was there ever a more charming man?

...covering the important details regarding the event, it was heartwarming to hear Wes talk about his grandkids. You have to hear him say "gamma." Too cute!
he's only 22 months old. He said that it was sweet - not that he's banging his head to be mean or hurtful, just that he's up and about and can't be bothered with hugs & kisses.

It's still very strange, which is not necessarily an insult. I never expected the General's grandchild to be ordinary.

That's neat! Maybe Wes 3.0 will be a football player.

I am so glad I caught your blog. I think your photos are excellent! I love how Wes always talks with his hands. Great photos of you!! Love the photo of Dom and Westcott. :D Looks like they were in the lounge.... uh... lounging? bwahaha. The photo of Gordon and Wes is so good. I really like Gordon. He's a hoot!
I wish I could have been there. Sounds like it was a learning experience.
Thanks!!! :D
Where in the world is Kevin Shelley?!?

and always smiling.
Couple nice ones of Eric as well.
Thanks Rocket.

I'm not sure Kelly will be happy with you (nor was she with me about my photos), but I love your pics.

BE THE CHANGE you wish to see in the world.
If not us, WHO? If not now, WHEN?

I had to wait until your post got off the front page to tell you how much I hate you for putting that picture up there.
Also, that there will of course be retribution, and you will not like it, not one bit. :)
Be afraid, be very afraid.
Now I just have to think of what it will be. But it will be good!

Thanks for sharing.
The stuff about the grandkids is so sweet.
