I enjoyed this- Beebe is quite personable & his love of Arkansas is very evident. The blow by blow of Hutchinson is instructive too. The Hunting of the President was something else, all right. Will never forget what they did to Susan McD!! Ever. And it's useful for people to trace the path of the cronyism & Asa's "rewards"- an all too familiar pattern, I'm afraid- one we've seen over & over again in Tom Delay/Ralph Reed/Jack Abramoff's House...

I like Wes in the role of intrepid reporter, too- plus I think it is both fun & a teaching tool for him.

I'm so glad these are made available to us- I am grateful that the blogosphere & attendant technologies give us this immense gift!!!!!

Mike Beebe has a good understanding about the education system, and I like his ideas on how to improve it … and overall he is a good leader. I wish him and Arkansas good luck : ).

I see that you are one of those chosen by General Clark for his endorsement, so we extend a special welcome to you.

In listening to the ClarkCast, it was especially interesting to hear you describe your growing up time. Cheers to you and your mother for using some of those challenges to spur you on for greater learning and accomplishment as a leader. So true of so many of our fine American leaders, starting with George Washington, as I'm sure you know.

I'm one of those thousands who come here in a day's time who doesn't take in information as well when it's auditory only, so if anyone is hanging out at your office with nothing to do one day, and can transcribe, it would be nice to have a transcript of what you and General Wes have to say to each other on the tape.

I'm in your sister state, Louisiana, and mentioning your name now, and encouraging people here to come and listen to the ClarkCast of you two Arkansas boys. As you know, many Arkansans are back and forth between the two states a lot, (relatives and friends and/or lovers, work, ball games,New Orleans and Little Rock, fishing, hunting --- not with Dick Cheney --- etc.)

Thank you for your work on behalf of our country (and for the people of its purple Southern states, especially).

Clearsky

General Wes Clark supporter since 2001

I recommend this to everyone. I am not now and never have been a citizen of Arkansas, and barely drove through the state when I was little, but this interview impressed me that someday soon we may have another former governor of Arkansas become president. Beebe is certainly qualified, once he gets some more experience as a governor.

Does anyone really think Bush will catch bin Ladin?

Mike Beebe sees the big picture. He's not just fixated on the individual small issues seperately. He sees how they all fit together as a system, and how one thing can't work without another.
