That evening I saw a short clip of the General between Hardball and the Tucker Carlson show. There was no sound. I reported it here thinking he was coming up on the Carlson show. I felt badly for everyone when he wasn't shown. At least now I know what it was all about; however, I still don't know why they showed the clip at that time.

Thank you. Wow, Wes very steely here. Well done. A challenge in his eyes & a level, measured tone.

What a tangled web the neocons & their ilk have woven. I pray some of them are marginally intelligent enough to realize they are in far far far far far far over their heads & call in a seasoned team with a track record of success to help negotiations, formal & informal, offical & especially perhaps unoffical.

Bumbling, arrogant neocons haven't got one one single iota of common sense or empathy for anything but spreadsheets.

The video quality is poor and you might not recognize Rainbow Wes but it's better than nothing for you Macaniacs.

is there anyway that I can get your message above, and all of the others too, of course, in larger print? I did what I could in the settings on my computer to set a bigger font, but it only sets the fonts on the Window Headings, (including the title to your message and others) and tool bars etc., not on the text within messages .

I'd appreciate the answer to this. Or, even better, a clickon that members can use to read in a larger print (or smaller print), such as that that is immediately apparant on the upper right hand corner of the Home Page of aarp.com

Sort of akin to a Handicapped parking space on a parking lot,
it would be good for The Generals's, WesPAC to not overlook those handicapped by mild visual problesm, especially the ever-growing in proportional percentages of the population, the seniors .

Sorry to trouble you with this, but I've tried everything I know, off and on, for months, perhaps years now.

And today's the day. Thank you,

Clearsky

As BOHICA said, with Firefox you can use Ctrl + plus sign to enlarge. Likewise, use Ctrl + minus sign to decrease size. It will give you a much wider range of print size to chose from than Internet Explorer.

You can get Firefox here: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

but thank you.

I put up with some things in IE because the change of habits would be too much for me, and many others, as non-techie to do right now. There's just ever so much more in the public domain abou to help out IE users.

Plus, I like to be where the most of our visitors and non-tchie non-writers(much) are, as it keeps me aware of focusing on them as I write.

Anyway, it's not for me to analyze any more than that.
Nor to impose on you to read it all.

thanks,

I can understand and appreciate your position on this, but change is coming.

When IE7 is released Microsoft is going to "push" it onto users computers as part of the Windows Update process (which you have to use to keep your computer reasonably secure). So in a few months you will find yourself using a new browser.

The good news is that IE7 copies many features of Firefox including using Ctrl + "+" to increase the font size.

Are you safer today than you were five years ago?

The old 'font size' change tool has not yet been upgraded to the current version of Drupal and is therefore unusable.

It was indeed a useful tool and I hope that someone in the Drupal developers community decides to re-create it so we can install it again.

No friend of Drupal am I, as it seems to forget there are users, not just people in IT departments.

(In Cameron's remarks about it, his main comment as to why he chose it was that it was easier on the IT people. I don't have that file anymore, but it's on the web via a Search.)

Ror me, aarp.com seems to be much better at focusing on the users than most sites.

But I know they can't be better than you showing up so regularly for live or close to it, interactive, and having such generous members to help out as they can, as we have here.

thanks, Kat for telling me why. It'll save me time when and if I go at it again. And the many others who have this problem too and read but don't write.

The "View" drop down menu in Internet Explorer.
Veiw > Text Size > (Medium, Larger, Largest)
In Firefox you can use hold down the Control key and the + sign key at the same time" to enlarge the text size.

I tried the View>TextSize> Medium, Large, Larger
that you so kindly suggested. But it didn't work as when I clickon View, there is no TextSize shown as a choice.

I'll let it go for awhile again now. I've been this route so many times time and too, it's the time of day for me to take a break now.

But I thank you for your generosity of spirit.

Maybe Kat will see my message later.

I don't know enough techie things to say whether it would spoil some grand enormous plan to put up the clickons like the ones on the aarp.com site that I asked for, but I still think that it sure would save a tremendous number of people, many of whom are even less tech-savvy than I am, a lot of frustration and time and irritability with the General's site to have it right on the GD page.

thanks,

Clearsky

I've been out of town, missed this one totally. Wes gets the right answer, as always.
The General gets it right.

Wes Clark Teaches Barnstorming 101 in Texas

Ruth's copy FEELS different than MSNBC... it has been long time since I made film strips in synch with sound so long I can't remember much about how it was done and so long  ago the techniques are SO SO SO sophisticated but in any case... there is a different feel about the MSNBC video clip... you get a different FEELING ... it is subtle I think that the Ruth copy of it ...(Ruth's the image as she pointed out is rougher in translation from her capture to the upload ) but the MSNBC evokes a different feeling.... the MSNBC website video clip that feels like EMOTIONS ON STEROIDS.... Ruth's copy doesn't feel that way... so subjective an obervation maybe not worthwhile mentioning... but I found that there is a great difference in viewing the two videos ... probably nothing ....
