I wanted to write to you about a critical election this fall: the election for California Secretary of State.
 
Debra Bowen is running for two reasons: Florida and Ohio, two states where we saw inaccuracies in the vote counts and deliberate attempts to disenfranchise voters in recent elections. Today 52% of Americans do not have confidence that their votes will be counted accurately.
 
Debra Bowen is committed to changing that!
 
Our current Secretary of State recently re-certified Diebold electronic voting machines here in California despite the accuracy and security flaws. We need a Secretary of State that will fight for fair and accurate elections, and Debra Bowen is just the person for the job.
 
Debra has been endorsed by the California Democratic Party, the California Federation of Teachers, the California Nurses Association, and the Sierra Club, as well as ten editorial boards including the San Francisco Chronicle, the LA Daily News, and the Sacramento Bee.
