Iowa native Bruce Braley is running in the state's 1st district, an open seat and one of the most competitive races in the country. I met Bruce on my last trip to Iowa, and he is clearly a man who will stand up to the special interests on behalf of working families in Washington. Bruce will work to raise the minimum wage, establish a universal pension that employees can take with them from job to job, and replace today's harmful trade policies with fair trade laws that are good for American workers.

Carol Shea-Porter is a candidate who I know very well, as she worked for my campaign for President in New Hampshire in 2004! Carol is coming off a very impressive grassroots-driven victory in the Democratic primary earlier this month, giving her crucial momentum as she heads towards a November showdown with Republican incumbent Jeb Bradley. Carol is running for the rest of us -- to help stop the greed, the corruption, and the reckless spending of the current Republican leadership and its Members of Congress.
