Hello Clarkies and thank you for the warm welcome. I'm working on a collection of video and audio files of WKC speeches, ads and guest appearances. This will be collected at http://Clark08.US/vid/ and hosted on my own server. I've got a lot of stuff from the '04 run, mostly from Ken in Seattle. If anyone has content they would like to have hosted there, please contact me (joe@Clark08.US) and I'll find a way to transfer them. If any webmonkeys out there would like to fix up a front page for Clark08.US, I'd be very glad for the help.

Also, @Clark08.US addresses are available for free to CCN members, just drop me a line.

Search Strings for Wes Clark from Other Sites?

| | | | |

Could we have someone who keeps up this site to include easy to find links to searches about Wes Clark on other sites? So that we can go and "recommend" or rate UP those stories.

Kind of like this search string I just did at DailyKos.com

Dkos Search for Wes Clark

This search includes the following:

Three Wishes for CCN

|

The Blog Faeries, who are actually Donuts in winged costumes, are granting you Three Wishes.

Once the wishes have been clearly stated, The Faeries will then fly them cybernetically over to the Blog Angels, who are actually techies in winged costumes, who (we hope) will then sprinkle them with dust to make them come true. ( **Note: the sprinkling part is entirely out of the Faeries hands and the Faeries accept no responsibility for timing or efficacy of the angels sprinkling procedures)

Judging from the moaning sounds coming from the monitor...it would appear we have a fair number of disgruntled Clarkies experiencing difficulties with this new blog format, and we want to be able to turn all of you into "gruntled" Clarkies... (I think!) ;-)

lets be civil here, pleaaaaaase

ROVE-boy STEPS DOWN AS JUNIOR CHIEF...LAUGH OUT LOUD.

so dis biotch now gonna focus on da politics? hahhahahhahahah. watta fkn joke. politics? that was yesteryear in evildome, BIYATCH! politics was re-created with "genius boy", huh, right? genius boy came up with the concept that manipulation is truth, hurtfulness is righteousness and lies are politics. should the dems fear that roveless-scumbyatch will superceed their righteousness? that would be like fearing that darth vadar was more righteous than luke. its the joke of the fkn political year that rovelesswonderboy will focus on politics.

Another local meeting in New Hampshire

Just got home from a meeting of local Democratic activists a few minutes ago..

The meeting tonight was what one might refer to as being 'off the hook'.

We spent the better part of the last 90 minutes of a 2 hour meeting discussing major issues such as Iraq, health care, the economy, national security, foreign policy, domestic policy, the environment, energy policy, and all sorts of other matters - and everyone was in total agreement that our current administration has failed miserably in each of the areas we covered during the discussions held during the meeting tonight.

Donut Update

This week the team started doing status reports, so I thought the easiest way to update everyone on what’s up is to share the status reports. (Actually, we worked a lot harder than this; the real status reports are much more detailed and useful for accomplishing things but not for conveying interesting information.)

PROJECT: Wes Clark Book Club

PURPOSE: Select a book to read as a group and discuss it. (Not to be confused with blogger book reviews and Wes’s reading list which are under separate projects.)

SCOPE: A Book Club user account will be home to the Book Club. Using the poll feature, bloggers will vote on a book to read from a short list that hopefully is supplied by Wes. Then, Book Club will post a blog where users can comment on the book.

Ideas for the general (and any progressive democrats who happen to be listening)

Questions for the general and his staff:

Have you read Lakoff's don't think of an elephant?  I personally think it is key to understanding the mindset of many Americans.  I had no idea how to debate with many of my conservative friends before reading this book...I found their mindset to be completely irrational.  Lakoff's book explains the way the mindset works, and how mindsets in general work.  This is so key to winning the hearts and minds of people who are good, but have been misled by the neocons, its not even funny.  Sir, if you haven't read this book, please do so.

Ditto, but to a lesser extent, with "Whats the matter with Kansas".

Issues:  I think its key for the general to start making some noise about some issues that are extremely important, but don't get much face time.  Right now, the entire conversational agenda is set by the neocons.  War.  Taxes.  Homosexuality.  Abortion.

On two of these issues, they've managed to frame the public mindset in an inappropriate space, and it may take bringing up new aspects to re-frame the debate.  In the second, they have managed to waste so much of the publics time and attention on things that only matter to small percentage of the population.  Here are some conversations that affect everyone, and need to held loud and clear.

Thousands of Katrina victims evicted into the streets all over America

Hauling everything he owned in a plastic garbage bag, Darryl Travis walked out of the chandeliered lobby of the Crowne Plaza, joining the exodus of Hurricane Katrina refugees evicted from their hotel rooms across the country Tuesday.
