Colorado | Michael Bennett | Senate | Democratic politics

Click here for the Wikipedia article on Michael Bennett, the superintendent of the Denver Public Schools and soon to be the junior senator from Colorado.
The surprise appointee has no legislative or elective political experience, but it appears he's no stranger to politics. Since he's never run for something before, though, 2010 could be interesting, on the assumption he will run to continue his senate career.
At least his liberal/progressive credentials seem intact.

Colorado | Monisha Merchant | Democratic politics

As this video predicts, Monisha Merchant could very well become a US Senator some day. Presently, I am one of many who are supporting her in her race to become CD 7's member of the University of Colorado Board of Regents.

Last week, I began analyzing the state of the races out West. And ever since then, I've received feedback about me not including all the competitive races out her. And to all of you fretting, I say... Don't worry!
Obama’s grassroots support in Colorado fades. Hillary’s holds.

Barack Obama | Colorado | Federico Pena | Firsthand Accounts | Hillary Clinton | Mannie Rodriguez | Wellington Webb | Democratic politics

Last week I attended a meeting of local Hillary supporters at Mannie Rodriguez's place to review what took place at the Colorado CD 6 Convention on May 3. Last Saturday I attended the CD 2 convention. At both conventions there was a drop-off of support for Barack Obama, while Hillary Clinton’s support held steady.
At CD 2, there were 272 Hillary delegates seated, which was all the delegates she won in the district. There were 556 Obama delegates seated, which was about 50 short of the delegates he had won in the district.
