On Winning the Midwest: Part 1

| | | | | | | | | | |

(Proudly cross-posted at C4O)

Last week, we finished surveying the lay of the land out West. This week, we begin to turn our attention to the Midwest. Yes, that's right. The Midwest looks to be once again a crucial battleground to win both the White House and Congress. And with just six weeks left until election day, we'd like to talk about the state of the races in America's Heartland.

Sorry I'm posting this with little time. Here's the latest on the Michigan and Florida matter.

The best part, however, is later in the story:

Count Every Vote! Stand up for FL and MI voters or you could be next!

The Democratic National Committee has already seen at least one Florida crowd demanding that their votes be counted. But that is just the beginning!

Count Every Vote! The DNC must honor our core democratic principles!

Dear friends,

We are close up against something VERY important to the future of this great country. If you love your family, and you care about the future, please read on; and please watch this fractured fairy tale! It would be very funny if it weren't so incredibly serious.

If you believe the contest for the Democratic nomination must not end before all of the votes from each State and US Territory have been cast and counted and that nominating conventions, not candidates (or the media), declare the nominee,

Obama Campaign To Falsely Claim Clear Majority of Pledged Delegates

| | | | | |

Nick Kelly's picture

States and Territories will be sending 3,566 pledged delegates to Denver. Half plus 1 of that is 1,734 pledged delegates. Obama currently has 1,610 pledged delegates. Kentucky has 51 pledged delegates to be won, and Oregon has 52 pledged delegates to be won. So, even if Obama won 100% of the pledged delegates in play on May 20, he would have only 1,713 pledged delegates, which is 21 short of a clear majority.

To the DNC - Re: Florida and Michigan – “Don’t be fools for the rules.”

True Democrats do not disenfranchise other Democrats. Please behave like the true Democrats you know you are, and seat the duly elected MI and FL delegates. What if Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King had agreed to follow rules because rules are rules? Don't be fools for the rules.

How Hillary wins.

Jerome Armstrong has a good piece up right now showing that Obama's blocking of the FL and MI re-vote may have actually given Hillary the opening she needs....

Obama, actively fighting a re-vote in FL/MI

The gloves are off.

Obama's message is clear..

Scr*w the "Will of the People"

Up until now, it's looked like he was just trying to delay the inevitable, but it's obvious that he's willing to go further and actively fight any re-vote in FL and MI. And unfortunately, time is on his side...

Calling all Superdelegates – Your wisdom needed to avert potential disaster.

Here we are, my fellow Democrats (and friends who are reading this), on a hugely important mission to change the disastrous course we have been following for the past 7, soon to be 8, years, and we haven’t yet quite made up our minds as to which of our talented Democrats should be piloting our course home.

'Denver, we have a problem….'
