(Proudly cross-posted at Clintonistas for Obama)

OK, now that the convention is over... It's time for us to get back to work! And for us here at C4O, this means getting more & better Democrats elected. So today, I'd like to introduce you to a truly awesome person who will make a fantastic Senator from New Hampshire.

NH-SEN Buckey the only alternative to Shaheen in primary

According to the Boston Globe, Katrina Swett will drop out of the race tomorrow. Marchand dropped out of the race the day Shaheen entered the race. Our very own Clarkie, Jay Buckey intends to stay in the race. As the only alternative in the primary to Shaheen he may actually have a chance. I don't think she is that popular in NH and independents can vote in the primary. Watching this one closely, but it is still 12 months before the primary so anything could still happen.

Buckey: Fighting Dem to take on Sununu?

As you all know there are other races happening in 2008 beyond the presidential race, and so far no one in that race has inspired me to get involved. However, I think it is important to keep our eye's on the ball as related to the House and Senate in 2008 as well. One strong potential pick up is the rapidly bluing state of New Hampshire. There John Sununu, son of Bush MkIs Chief of Staff by the same name, is up for reelection. So far the presumed Democratic candidate is former Governor, Harvard Professor, and National chair of the abysmal Kerry 2004 campaign, Jeanne Shaheen.
