Covert Operations Trump Diplomacy in Bushworld

| | |

Never let it be said that neocons don't have a plan for further empire building in their back pocket at all times.

And never doubt that a Republic administration isn't standing in line to pick that pocket and put the plan into action.

And then there's a weak kneed congress that will turn their eyes the other way while the "wallet" is being lifted lest they unintentionally divert the pickpocket from his goal.

Late last year congress coughed up funding for escalation of covert operations in Iran at Bushy's request.

I’m sorry that I couldn’t look you in the eye when I saw you in the McDonalds line today.

How do you support the troops if you don't support the war?

| | | | | | |

I support the troops ... because I was one. I know who they are. I respect them. For the most part, "our troops" are young Americans, even some immigrants, who truly love this Country and don the uniform believing their effort and, potentially, their sacrifice is the price of freedom .... not only for themselves, but for the continued greatness of this Country that we love.

This appeared last night on Reuters and hasn't seemed to be picked up widely. If this is the plan General Clark heard about before he talked to Huffington Post, no wonder he was "steamed." Given the report by Larry Wilkerson, that Iran was willing to help the US in Iraq in 2003, as they were in Afghanistan and were rebuffed, seems to show a pattern of intent by the White House. Apparently, it was Cheney himself who said "we don't talk to evil people." It's as if the entire middle east plan was designed by the secret energy group who met with Cheney.

In the new New Yorker, Sy Hersh has a new article about Iran, Iraq, Cheney and the neocon plan to circumvent
The Dems controlling capitol hill. They plan to "retire" Rummy was in the works before the election. Rummy was
in on the planning as was Cheney. It was part of the WH plot to appear to be throwing an olive branch to the Dems.
As for their own party, these folks are renegade. They operate on their own, trying to avoid complications they
encountered during the Contra years and the Boland Ammendment. They aren't worried about congress getting in their
way regarding Iraq, but worry about legislation that could interfere with their plans for Iran. There's also some

"We should replay that interview as often as possible," Rove on the move..

"We should replay that interview as often as possible," chortled Republican strategist Nelson Warfield on Tuesday. "In this election there's been a lot of worry among Republicans about whether our base is motivated and is going to turn out to vote," Warfield said. "Nothing motivates the Republican base more than some puffy pontification from Bill Clinton. When he has a little fit on TV, it reminds us of the future that awaits if the Democrats should ever win another national election."

They wouldn't try to blame Clinton for 9/11 just to piss him off? This guy is openly ringing pavlov's bell, so confident is he that his "base" is so well trained to hate Clinton (that's right, to HATE a U.S. President) that they will turn out to vote Republican no matter how utterly terrible the current Administration...the executive, the senate and the congress ... all Republican controlled for six years .... turn out to be.

Set IRAQI GOAL DATES for them to STAND UP (when they stand up, we stand down)

| | |

THE PRESIDENT SET GOAL DATES FOR ELECTIONS AND FOR FORMING OF THE GOVERNMENT IN IRAQ: WHAT'S WRONG WITH SETTING A GOAL POST FOR THE IRAQI ARMY TO STAND UP? WHAT'S WRONG WITH SETTING A GOAL POST FOR IRAQI POLICE TO STAND UP? WHAT'S WRONG WITH SETTING A GOAL POST FOR REACHING OIL PRODUCTIONS OVER THERE? WHAT'S WRONG WITH SETTING A GOAL POST FOR RECONSTRUCTION OVER THERE?

THESE DATES DON'T HAVE TO BE SET IN STONE, BUT SET, JUST AS THE PAST GOAL DATES WERE SET BY PRESIDENT BUSH.

THEY AREN'T DATES FOR THE U.S. TO LEAVE IRAQ; BUT RATHER DATES THE IRAQI PEOPLE MUST MEET NEXT.
